also very interesting that you'd go down the steroids road about the Bosox, considering it HAS SO MUCH TO DO with your small-town argument and has SO MUCH TO DO with Red Sox fans in general. again a major R E A CC H on your part.

Is it possible actually that your are THAT naive to believe that the Red Sox players were the only ones who benefited from the use of PED's during ANY GIVEN ERA, and your 90's Yankees are clean as a whistle?
That arguement only serves to further advertise your naivete and biased, blatant negativity toward Boston Red Sox fans. You are exceedingly predictable and as transparent as freshly cleaned glass. I can virtually guarantee you are NOT from the Northeast...

"Where I live" is the operative statement in your post. Don't post about your small-town, limited experiences and expect not to get called out for it. All Red Sox fans are NOT the way you've experienced, simply because it's all you've experienced. That's what I meant by uneducated... green, unexperienced and sheltered is what you're statement illustrates...

For the record, I could give a flying F*&#! about grammar and spelling u brought up in your lame post.
It has nothing to do with my personal level of education. You're simply to anal to realize that.
As "Cartman" has said many times, " Dude, no one cares"
Get over your grammar hang-up bro, it aint workin...

**********************************************

only in PFT Tool-Land can the Red Sox come up by way of an uneducated Jack Ass’s comment, comparing the Boston fans to the Steelers Fans regarding, of all things “ENTITLEMENT”!!
talk about a R – E — A — C —- H of a declaration!
Dude, quit smokin the crack pipe, open the shades, air out your Mothers cellar and take a lookaround you: the Red Sox fans have long suffered as the inferior red-headed step child of the Bully Bank Account from the Bronx since EVEN before you started downing a 5th of Jack everyday in your Momma’s basement. We may be alot of things, but “Entitled” aint one of them, Son. That would be the Yankees fans, who believe they have the best team even after they bow out of the playoffs
You must be the alter screen name of “Bozos for All”, a notorious fantasy brained Boston Hater/Closet Jets fan.

----------------------------------------------------------

So I'm "Uneducated"? Let's look at your post, shall we?

You try to make the word "Jackass" plural so you wrote "Jack Ass's", which is incorrect. You should have wrote Jackass'. One word, no extra "s" on the end. "Look around" is 2 separate words. Also, you spelled the words "smoking" and "ain't" wrong. "A lot" is also 2 words, not 1. So who's the uneducated person here? You are so dumb you can't even use spell-check.

Where I live both Red Sox fans and Steeler fans are the biggest blowhards around. On the flip side, the many Yankee fans I know do not act obnoxious about their team's success because they don't need to. The team wins titles on a regular basis so they don't need to get hyped up like Boston fans do. But when the Sox finally won those 2 titles their fans quickly turned into the type of fan they always bitched that the Yankee fans were. And to top it all off, it took steroids to break "the Curse". The Sox were never able to win without them. Yankee fans complained that the Mitchell Report was bias because it claimed no big name Boston players did steroids and both Manny and Papi (and others, I'm sure) were. But because Mitchell was on the Sox board of directors, he didn't dig very deep into the Sox drug problem and for years Boston fans claimed their team's titles were "clean" while the Yankees titles of the 1990's were "tainted".

Funny how quiet Sox fans became once the truth about their team's drug use came out, huh?

BTW, not a Jets fan. Just a Steeler and Red Sox hater. Deal with it. Both teams lost...

Steelers fans have to be the most classless and entitled in the world. You wonder why so many people hate you. YOU LOST. Accept it. Go get your “one for the other thumb” tats recolored or something. Might I suggest a little purple, to signify your sour grapes.

Watch the replays of the game. Holding on nearly every Tebow dropback. The one time when they did get a hit on him it was roughing the passer.

So....you must've missed the Steeler drive that tied the game where your O-line tackled Denver's D-linemen and LB on every play....?

Score more points you whiney clown.

And you wonder why the whole country hates you Steel Wool fans. Act like a true fan instead of a 6 year old who just had their lunch money taken away....Pittsburgh gambled on that first play and lost. Your team is done....deal with it.

The Steelers were (statistically) the #1 defense this year. To say they looked "old" after one subpar playoff performance is a bit premature.

But all along, I felt this fate was sealed for us on that Sunday night when we let Flacco drive down the field and pass for the winning touchdown with just seconds left. We win that game and instead of a #5 seed we are a #1 seed. The whole season changed on that one drive.

And who says the NFL regular season doesn't mean every bit as much as college football?

Ravens fan, looking thru a few misc comments:

@JoeRevs - I have a problem with any losing teams fans complaining about calls. Last year when the Ravens lost in the playoffs, I came in to PFT, said no excuses we lost. Period. We had a huge lead and blew it. There were plenty of people complaining about calls. Whining about calls no matter how "rational" is sour grapes. I say that even of my own team's fans. "Classless" I doubt. Sour grapes, YES.

Best analytical comments on here are about LeBeau. And let me say, LeBeau is great. But I agree with several posters that he failed to follow the blue print of NE, KC, Buffalo. Tebow is most effective in single coverage. You need to mix in blitzes better, and do more cover 2. Now being a Ravens fan, I know that is not the Steelers MO. They like to bring the heat. It seems against Tebow, your defense needs to be patient. Let them move down the field, get their 4 FG's a game, and win 14-12. Give them some rushing yards. Going 9 men in the box gave Tebow potency he doesn't possess, normally.

Hat's off to Tebow, he still had execute, even if Steelers scheme, played to his strengths. Excellent job. But don't expect NE to play that way.

Actually, Pats fans own that distinction in pro football...agreed on the Red Sox fans also having sour grapes...the common denominator being that both fan bases are mainly from New England, the home of the biggest crybabies in all of sports fandom.

Not a Steelers fan but there is no other team that has had the success that Pittsburgh has had in the modern Super Bowl era, as well as in the last five years. Two Super Bowls titles in the last five years (and another near miss last year) is hard to beat.

Hmmm, that last 15 yarder across the middle that went for 80 and won the game says to me that Tebow CAN throw "a 10 or 15 yarder"! LOL! Are the Steeler fans "aging" too?

LeBeau called a terrible game and could not adjust after half time.
Polamalu gambled too much and was out off place at least three times trying to chase down the WR passing by.
Harrison's ability seemed very limited, he can rush the box that is it. Tebow ran by him twice with the ball without him noticing it and still gunning for the box.

And please stop with this holding crap, that is true for every team. ever seen a holding being called on Suh or Ngata? Don't think so, what about the face masks on Tebow and even Thomas on the last TD? same thing, get over it.

I had very little interest in this game, but I’m kinda with a few Steelers fans here. If the refs call half the horribly obvious holds in this game, the Broncos get about 10 points.

You have got to be kidding me. Every Steelers game I've seen this season, they've got away with holding more than any team I've ever seen. Even last night I thought it as amazing how much holding going uncalled. Steelers fans are the last to be able to complain about the refs. The Steelers have the league in their back pockets, and it was obvious the refs did everything they could to help them out.

@binarybulge,

Oh please. If Denver had lost that game in overtime, they would have been on here blaming the refs and anything else they could find.

Steeler fans are not "classless" for pointing out rational things (although some of those above are on the extreme end).

Does it not just sound WEIRD that the only holding penalty all night was the 5 yard one on Ike Taylor? You mean to tell me no one on the Steelers, and no one on the Broncos offensive lines held all night? (To be fair there were at least 2 facemask penalties committed by the Steelers the refs missed too).

But to sit there and say "Only Steeler fans make excuses". I would invite you to go look at any thread from Bengals, Falcons and Lions fans, and tell me they aren't making excuses either.

You hate the Steelers, I get it. Fine. It's a free country and you're entitled to it. Just like any other sports team, you have fans who get emotional and make outlandish claims.

We dared Tebow and the Broncos to beat us through the air. And, combined with having just enough running success for us to bite on their play action (especially that 1 play in overtime), they did. That was the ballgame.

This group has had a good run (3 Super Bowls, winning 2, missing the playoffs only the one year) but age doesn't pay attention and has caught up with the Steelers on the defensive side of the ball. Until we get younger, we will continue to wear down and give up big plays.

All the credit to Denver, and I wish them well in NE. Everyone who is predicting a 30 point blowout win by the Patriots must not have watched the game I did yesterday.

Polamulu retiring? Where is your source on that one!!

Also, someone needs to give credit to the offensive line, they have done a great job all year considering we abandoned the run for most of it. Even with injuries, those guys gave Ben plenty of time and Redman is your new starter...he actually know what to do when an opening occurs. Arians is the OC until he retires, LeBeau seemed outmatched yesterday, I think they will hire Raheem Morris to assist next year, not that I like that!

As for next year, they will be fine...
Bye to Hoke, Farrior, McFadden, Battle, Hines, Mendenhall, Aaron Smith, Foote, Batch...also a surprise retirement could happen with Keisel or Hampton.

they will draft well and make a run next year, no panic here...

Steelers fan here. We got our arse kicked. No excuses. When they marched down the field the first two times and came away with six I turned to my wife and said it was over. For the Steelers. Arian's offense stinks and even when the run game is working he refuses to go to it (Redman was running all over the Broncos). And what the heck was the defense thinking?

As for Tebow, the guy can run and he can throw a deep ball as well as anyone. Funny enough - the guy can't make a 10 or 15 harder, but he mauled the Steelers secondary with essentially one healthy and decent receiver.

We got beat fair and square. Fan excuses are pathetic. Home game for Denver? Well, we had two legit shots to secure home field and lost both (Ravens at home, Niners on the road). Injuries? Next man up boys, besides GB won last year with a third of their team on IR. penalties that were called or not called? Gimme a break. We are on both sides of that argument and besides, we benefitted from the fumble that wasn't a fumble call. One of the dumbest rules ever. Shold have been over and out right then and there.

And after all of that, all we had to do was stop them in OT. Instead we decide to put nine in the box (eight was plenty). Either LeBeau is losing it or either Troy or Mundy blew it (my guess is Mundy was supposed to cover). After all, Tebow showed plenty during the game he would go deep and not just run.

We played horrible. Broncos played great. And we got spanked in a game that we weren't in for most of the day.

Gonna go watch reruns of those six SBs to cheer me up.

Congrats Denver fans. Well earned win in more than exciting fashion.

Steelers fan here. We got our arse kicked. No excuses. When they marched down the field the first two times and came away with six I turned to my wife and said it was over. For the Steelers. Arian’s offense stinks and even when the run game is working he refuses to go to it (Redman was running all over the Broncos). And what the heck was the defense thinking?

As for Tebow, the guy can run and he can throw a deep ball as well as anyone. Funny enough – the guy can’t make a 10 or 15 harder, but he mauled the Steelers secondary with essentially one healthy and decent receiver.

Steelers fans have to be the most classless and entitled in the world. You wonder why so many people hate you. YOU LOST. Accept it. Go get your “one for the other thumb” tats recolored or something. Might I suggest a little purple, to signify your sour grapes.

They are (by a wide margin) in pro football.

They run neck & neck in then race with Red Sox fans for that title in ALL of sports...

Union workers that shovel coal or screw in gaskets...we're not chatting with mensa candidates here. Blame the D scheme....Tebow survived the initial stacked rush, which allowed his young WRs to get down field. Steelers chose to keep safeties in the box so Tebow chose to average 36 yds per pass play. And let's not forget that Palamulu and his gambling ways got abused. Either he makes a great play or he is so out of position.
