Sadly for the us, the Bengals are no where near getting a real GM and at least the Raiders can see some light at the end of the tunnel (until Al’s son starts going crazy like the old man).

Bottom line, raiders and bengals (remember, I’m including myself here) fans are some of the saddest bunch of sports fans out there and taking shots at each other only adds to the misery.

I live about an hour outside of cincy my whole life i should know! But i’m really glad palmer quit because mike and marvin would’ve let him stay as long as he liked regardless off his play. Palmer has done the most since boomer unfortunetly the most is 2 winning seasons out of his 9

Palmer shouldn’t have a reason to quit on the Raiders, not with the tools in place and finally some stability. He’s a west coast guy who is more likely to stay with the Raiders w/o quitting.

Ask any GM in the NFL and they will say the Raiders are loaded with talent, they just need coaching to get them there. Without Al Davis, they’ll finally have the coaching staff in place to maximize these players’ talents. Palmer isn’t leaving, he’s going to enjoy the ride.

Worst case scenario, Palmer for Sanchez straight up?

Matt Flynn will come in and compete for the starting job which he might beat Palmer out of.

So what did TO and Ochocinco do this year? Less than what Palmer did. JC is a decent QB but that is all he will ever be. I watched Carson this year and while he did make some mistakes he made throws Campbell could never make. If Campbell doesnt get hurt the Radiers dont beat SD in the first game and arent even close to them in the last game. Palmer played great in both those games.

Since Marvin Lewis took over the Bengals in 2003 and drafted Palmer the Bengals have won two division titles and made the playoffs a third year as a wild card team, even while playing in the same division as two of the league’s heavyweights. The Raiders have made zero playoffs over the same stretch of time and only even been serious playoff contender in December a single year. Oakland has Cinci beat hands down in terms of which is the more dysfunctional team!

I get it, our owner sucks, but there HAS been (many) worse teams over the past decade.

And why? Because Al classicly reaches to the past glory days and has no grasp of the concept that the game evolves by forcing Hue to take on chuck bresnahan as his D coordinator (as well as Biekert and Woodson as coaches on the defense). Glad Al’s gone so he no longer forces coaches onto his coaches.

I’d say Carson was mediocre this year and Jason was decent. Carson threw 13 TDs and 16 INTs. I always thought Carson was pretty overrated. He had two winning seasons in Cincy.

Campbell had McFadden and healthy WR’s. Without them Campbell would have not gotten the Raiders to the playoffs much less one game short of getting there. Do you even watch Raider games? Palmer is by far the better QB.
