This is kinda funny. The article is giving us info on practice time and who will not play tomorrow. It’s not talking about which city is better or who isn’t getting respect. This is about the Saints and the Niners. Leave your cities out of it. The injury info is important because if Harper isn’t @ 100%, the Saints will have issues on defense since he is their leading sacker and will have to cover Vernon Davis. Moore is important (whether Saints fans want to believe it or not) because he is BETTER than his backup. It’s relevant, that’s why it’s news.

If anything the Saints are getting a whole lot more pub than the Niners. NO has Brees, SF has Smith. QB’s get the pub, advantage in pub: Saints.

Really! nineroutsider dont throw stones if you live in a glass house arrogance! are you kidding me! finally New Orleans gets some recognition then everyone wants to say the people are arrogant, thats a bunch of crap! I’m from New Orleans and people from other parts the country use to look down on us saying things like our grammer is bad and that they couldnt understand what we were saying. Other cities and states talked about our school system and the people. New Orleans is finally coming up and having it’s day in the sun but people like you want to say it’s arrogance. You guys have all the movie stars big houses and a well steep history, all the money, in some ways New Orleans is still suffering, the devistation is still lingering from Katrine. Look at san Francisco with all their champioships, I guess you dont think no one else suppose to strive for the same thing, well it a new day we are no longer the Aints we are the New Orleans Saints and show some respect! if you wont give us we will take it on the field. You have history yeah but we have a very deep history of our own, have you ever been invaded, well we were and changed over a couple of times, that shows the toughness of New Orleanians. I give you all the respect in the world but as for as history with this nations is concerned your comparison would be like a baby.

Losing Lance Moore is not a deal breaker and, IMO, the Saints will win but the score will be close. Then again, how many of these sports writers (and fans from all schools) picked LSU to beat AL so badly that the score would be enormous? I don’t take seriously what most of these sports “pros” say!

im tired of this ‘ the Saints arent as good on the road.’ nonsense…

we won a superbowl outside. and we went toe to toe with the packers outside in week one.

the formula to winning is much different on the road, which is why the Saints ‘score less.’ the goal is to control the clock and try to set the tempo yourself. All while keeping composure and dealing with crowd noise.

san francisco has a great team this year; and if they pull off this win, then they deserve a trip to the superbowl. I just dont see field goals and hard defense winning this one.

Why would niner fans be jealous of Saints fans?
That’s ridiculous and far from my point.

There is no denying the niners have a far more illustrious history than the Saints, one of the best in the nfl.

My post was refering to the current crop of teams.

The fact is that the CURRENT niners havent made the playoffs in a decade and the CURRENT saints have had a great deal of success as of late.

If the Saints lose, there will be far more disappiontment based on the standards the program has built over this stretch.

I dont believe the team or the fans of SF have been screaming SB or bust since June. They were just hoping to gain some stability.

The majority of the media are picking the Saints to win. The Saints get nothing but love. The niners have been underdogs since week one and are thriving in that role.

Guaranteed no niner fans are jealous of Saints fans. Congrats for finally being relevant in the league the last few years. I was stoked when the Saints became a good team, the fans deserved it. But many Saints fans are becoming quite arrogant.

Expectations for these two teams are different.

Jim Harborough ran onto the field at Detroit hooting and hollering like a high school girl that had just found out she had won prom queen.

You don’t see that kind of reaction from a head coach in any pro sport, especially one that expects to win.

I just think the Niners and their fans are still surprised at their season and more happy to be here than a Saints team that has won consistently for years, has a Hall of Fame quarterback and expects to go deep in the playoffs, if not win the Super Bowl every year.

Are you serious? After Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans and the Saints were the darlings of the media….and rightfully so. The community deserved to have people root for them. Fast forward to this year…a strong majority of media “experts” are picking the Saints. So what hate are you talking about? Seems like you have a complex.

Also what is with your username “boisestatewhodat”. Sounds bandwagon to me. What football teams did you root for before these teams were good? 10 years ago was your username “TheUPatriots”? How about 20 years ago was it “NebraskaCowboys.” C’mon.

The Saints don’t really need Moore, their WRs seem to be pretty interchangeable anyway.

However, the Saints aren’t going to win in a blowout. It’ll be a fairly close game, either way.

Moore is not the slot receiver…he actually plays outside on most 3-wide sets with Colston moving inside.

Honestly, I think the Niners will have success in slowing the Saints’ offensive attack but not for four quarters. The Texans, who have a higher ranked defense than the niners, slowed Brees too…but not for 60 minutes and the Saints won.

Not saying the niners aren’t capable of pulling it out but not Saturday…they’re catching this Saints team at the wrong time and you’ll see soon enough.

No lack of credit….we just know what the niner game plan is…stop the run and force Brees to throw. Okay…he will and we’ll score and score and score. Then our defense, who know one is talking about and for good reason, will show up and hit Smith often and early, get in his head and force him to make Smith-like mistakes…game over.

Saints put up a paltry 22 points on Tennessee the last time they played outdoors. They averaged over 38 PPG in their eleven…eleven!…indoor games this season.
And the Niners D is good.

Lance didn’t practice at all last week either genius and didn’t play vs Detroit. Didn’t look like it was an impact though did it? Still hung 45 for the 3rd straight week!
