No one EVER thinks about that position, but when a proven veteran goes out, the impact is immediate.

Look what happened to the Chargers last season. They lost their longest-term player, David Binn. They then proceeded to go through something like five-more long snappers as they became the joke of the league on special teams. But you could see the reason with your own eyes. On punts, where fractions of a second count, the replacement would loft the ball back to the kicker, which sometimes felt like an eternity. In the end, that lead to a team record for blocked punts.

So, again, in a game like this weekend’s, the Broncos will need every advantage available to even compete with Bellycheat and Grady.

A loss is a loss, no matter who’s fault it is. I’m pretty sure you aren’t the first or last fan to blame a loss on officiating.

In the future though, you may want to consider the 100+ plays prior to the FG that led to your team needing a last second FG to win.
