Sanjay Lal, who coached wide receivers in Oakland for the last three years, will be the team’s new wide receivers coach. The Jets announced the hire Friday evening. Lal replaces Henry Ellard, who departed earlier this week.
The hiring comes while the Jets are believed to be pursuing former Chiefs head coach Todd Haley for a role on their offensive staff. Given Sparano’s background as an offensive line coach, Haley would likely join the Jets to help oversee the passing game. According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, the Lal hiring does not mean that Haley is out of the running for a spot on Sparano’s staff.
I guess Sanjay saw the writing on the wall at the Raiders. Good for him, he’s a good coach.
Not a dig a Haley, but I doubt his ego would let him take a job below OC after being a HC the past couple years. That’s a shot no one’s ego wants to take… unless they are paying OC wages.

He should actually coach the the receivers on the Bucs, Chiefs, 49ers, Cardinals, or Falcons because “lal” in Hindi means red.
I do not know if he speaks Hindi, but I know for a fact that all those aforementioned teams have the red-colored uniforms!!!
Poor guy. By this time next year he’ll be so covered in Rex Ryan spittle they’ll be able to make molds out of his face from it.

I am not sure if the Raiders will be able to overcome such a loss, especially since this is the first year a receiver led the team in receptions…I thought his name was LOL…as in Coach ROTFLMAO LOL…which is what his name translates to in English…
