Titans sign tight end Stevens to four-year extension

Silva did a nice job compiling a list of prospective free agents for 2012 over at Rotoworld. He can cross one name off the list.

Craig Stevens of the Titans signed a four-year contract worth roughly $15 million to return to the team Friday, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

Stevens is best known as a blocker.  He only has 21 catches in his career, but fits what Mike Munchak likes to do on on offense.  The Titans also have Jared Cook on the roster, so the team quietly has one of the better young tight end combinations in the league.

And that’s about all I can think of to say about Craig Stevens.

Craig can never remember if his surname is spelled with a “v” or a “ph”.

The tiny, close set, rodent eyes of Silva miss nothing.

If you want a young Shula, I think David is available…

stevens and cook should set us up nicely.. but the titans really need to draft some o-line men so they can RUN the ball..

Underrated as a pass catcher, and under-used in that facet due to Cook. Might as well make Cook a WR b/c he can’t block to save his life

Did anyone else get briefly excited that the mentally insane Jerramy Stevens was back in the league?
