The Saints have given permission to offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. to interview for the Raiders head coaching position.

A report from ESPN surfaced that Carmichael already interviewed with Oakland while he was on the West Coast, but Saints G.M. Mickey Loomis says that isn’t true, according to Mike Triplette of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Carmichael got some attention as the Saints’ playcaller down the stretch. He would seem to be a long shot for a job expected to go to former Packers assistant Winston Moss.

The Raiders also will interview both Broncos coordinators. Packers coaches aside, this is a very Al Davis-like list that Raiders G.M. Reggie McKenzie has come up with.
