The Jags are having an awful time selling tickets in Jacksonville. Tebow would fix that no doubt, if you could get this deal done for one other player and keep our own number one great. Now the Colts suck big time that was shown this year with out Payton in the line up, big time rebuilding is needed in Indy. If this could work out and get Luck from Indy, I say by by to Tebow, if not keep Tebow and see if Elway and company can fix the pocket passing for 2012 off season.

Tebow has shown that he can play in the league - the million dollar question is whether he can play QB in the league.

The inherent problem that I see with Tebow is that he excels in an option offense. One of the reasons that this offense was all but abandoned in the NFL was because if you get behind, it becomes somewhere between difficult and impossible to catch up.

Teams will learn quickly to gun it early and get ahead, then the Broncos will founder as they have no real way of catching up.

I know that people like to mention the Steelers game as proof otherwise, but lets remember that the Steelers were giving them the pass, so he wasn't throwing into consistent hard coverages. Also how many times did we see the Steelers standing flat footed trying to contain him, meaning that it didn't look like they were putting alot of pressure on him.

The pats and one of the worst defenses in the league (without their best pass rusher) were able to just have their way with the Broncos because of the pressure and coverage. Not so good for the Broncos.

Still it will be fun to watch and see what happens.

He is ranked dead last in passing yards per game and completion percentage. He is actually the worst passing QB in the NFL. Good luck with him. Those of us who hate the Broncos are more than happy that Teblow is your QB.

And you dismiss that they led in rushing attempts while finishing only 6th in yp/carry. Take Orton away and they would be the clearer leader in attempts. Couple this with that fact that McGahee is a great back and Tebow is so bad at passing that they rarely let him try and you find why they led in rushing.
----------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, so y/carry are brought down a little by the 471 yards on 112 rushing attempts (4.2 y/carry) with Orton at QB...and they were 25th in the NFL a that time. After Tebow became the starter the team rushed for 2161 yards on 434 carries. (5.0 y/carry...4th in the NFL).

By the way, it may be relevant to point out the 190.4 ypg over its last 12 games—is the most productive 12-game rushing stretch in team history.

ALSO everyone just dismisses the fact that the Broncos became the #1 rushing team in the league as a direct result of Tebow taking the helm.

Scrambling\unpredictable QB's have *always* caused problems for NFL defenses (Vick\Young\Cunningham\Tarkenton) for the simple reason that NFL defenses just do not have an answer for a running QB. It's literally not in their schemes...because nearly ALL teams do not want their QB running...so why design a defense to stop something the offense will *not* be doing. The thing is...times are changing. I think we are now entering the true age of the running QB. It's actually a throwback to the early days of the NFL when QB's were the 1st or 2nd option on the run. Too many colleges are now running offenses with the QB as the primary\secondary running threat. And not just in the South. The Big Ten, the PAC 10...they all now have top rushers at the QB position. The shift is happening...the running QB is finally making a long awaited return to the NFL...and Tim Tebow is their leader! : - )

Anyone who thinks tebow can play is out of their minds. 9-26 against one of the worst pass defenses ever. The guy sucks flat out. I would trade him to Jacksonville now, they might pay a second rounder just because tebow will sell seats

While Tebow is not as big as the big QB sub for Landry at OU, Blake Bell, he could play the similar role of coming in when they're about 5 yards from the end zone and just stuff it in. Other than that, there's no way Denver can expect Tebow to make the adjustments to his mechanics needed to become even a halfway decent NFL throwing QB. One trick pony for this past season but other than that, DC's will also have an off season to devise game plans against him, then what? Don't think Denver will be able to make the offensive progress it would need for continued long term success.

Christian Ponder was told by the Vikings that they won't be drafting or bringing in a QB to compete with him next year and that he is the starter going into camp next year.

Elway would only commit to 1 of the 3

LOL

"Going into camp"

AKA - "Once camp begins all bets are off"

Kinda like how Jimmy Clausen was the starter going into Panther camp last year.

ALSO everyone just dismisses the fact that the Broncos became the #1 rushing team in the league as a direct result of Tebow taking the helm.

I dislike referring to Tebow-nonsupporters as "Haters" but when you twist stats to fit your opinion of him as a "BUST" (after only playing 16 games over two seasons as a starter) you lose all credibility.

Comparisons of Kyle Ortons stats to Tebow's are purely from those who didn't watch Orton play.

Orton made his living of 3-5yrd passes repeatedly falling short of first downs. Defenses gladly gave him the underneath stuff that resulted in 3-and-outs and red zone FG's.

If Tebow can seriously work on his passing game in the off-season, there's no reason he can't succeed and be an absolutely solid QB in the league. That's a big If though. He'll need to apply himself much harder than he has so far, because being a solid run team w/ the 'chance' to make some deep throws is really not going to advance you far into the playoffs.

Certainly, credit is due for the Bronco's getting there in the first place, but they were definitely shown up by the 31st rank D in the league...so things certainly have to change.

Good luck to him, I suppose, not a huge fan of the media hype surrounding him, but that's not really his fault...the media's always looking for the angle that gets the most attention.
