I see Art Rooney's statements as an ultimatum to both the offensive line and Ben Roethlisberger. Part of it involves Roethlisberger not bringing as many sacks upon himself -- he's improved in this regard, but he can still improve more -- but it mainly requires a long-overdue upgrading of the Gs. The Steelers have arguably the worst pair of Gs in the NFL, and it ruins the entire line. Maurkice Pouncey is a good C, but his effectiveness is reduced by the garbage that lines up on both sides of him. The Steelers haven't had a quality G since Alan Faneca left. Even the "pick-six" in Super Bowl XLV was directly the result of poor execution by one of the Gs. And if we expect Roethlisberger to be a better pocket passer, then giving him a reliable pocket to step up in would go a long way. There's a reason why Tom Brady and Drew Brees are so good at stepping up in the pocket: because they both have a reliable pocket thanks to the pair of stud Gs in front of them.

Steelers need to use first pick in draft on a great interior lineman..DeCastro or Cordy Glenn would look good in gold and black ..2nd pick another interior lineman or DB or ILB. Gilbert can play RT assuming Colon is healthy and lasts more than 1 game .

It's about time they finally address the OL. Other then Faneca, they haven't had a consitently great OL since Dermonti Dawson. Pouncey is on his way, but needs to stay healthy. Hopefully they address the CB to, that cost them their last two playoff games.

I've complained about consistent scoring for years now. Hopefully they finally do something about it. With the talent on that offense, there's no reason the Steelers shouldn't be putting up 30 points per game.
