rudegger……you’re a jackass. Where are you from? Let me guess….Toronto? Have you been to Saskatchewan? I’ve spent significant time in both Sask and Wisconsin. Very similar places. So you must have a similar opinion about the Packers (community owned just like Roughriders) and people from Wisconsin as well. Do you ever see people in these comment sections arguing that the CFL is as good as NFL? Anyone with half a brain knows the talent level is far superior in the NFL. But more than anything, it’s two very different styles of game. So instead of wasting time making disparaging remarks about geographical regions you likely know nothing about, try to write something at least bordering on intelligent……if you can.

One could definitely say that about the overrated New England region. Pretending that the recent (but soon to be gone) pro sports success changes that only shows how stupid those in that region really are.

The CFL couldn’t be a minor league system considering the rules are different, genius. And Cam Wake has done pretty well for himself. Doug Flutie, Jeff Garcia, Warren Moon, Mervyn Fernandez and Joe Theismann are among other notable players that made the transition between leagues successfully.

As for your comments on Saskatchewan, I’ll just smile and continue to enjoy living in a place that was virtually unaffected by the recent recession and has one of the lowest unemployment rates in North America. I’ll also continue to enjoy my free health care, superior education system, and my 20 minute commute to work in a city consisting of 220,000 other people that likely couldn’t care less about what you think of them.

Wait, why is this newsworthy? Sorry, just trying to figure it out…is this guy someone special up there with special talents? This is less worthy than the 9ers elevating Colin Jones from the practice squad. Actually, given how did on ST against the Saints, the Jones addition deserved a post.

Those of us who watch the CFL knew that Fantuz would struggle in the NFL. In the CFL, with the extra receiver, unlimited motion and the big field, Fantuz is an ideal slotback. In the world of the NFL, though, he is a “tweener” – too slow to be an NFL wide receiver, too small to be an NFL tight end. There are a lot of rush ends in the CFL who fall into that same category – great pass rushers in our pass happy league, but they would get eaten up trying to stop the run in the NFL.

Jerrell Freeman, though, is a heck of a player, and definitely has a chance to make an impact. Anyone who watched Cam Wake with the Dolphins knows that the CFL does find the occasional diamond in the rough that the NFL might have missed the first time around…
