Everyone knows #63 is a class act. Today @11:30 on the Grady & Big Joe radio show, Jeff said he has yet to make a decision on if he will retire. He stated he will pray on it and discuss with his family. He did say he is 36, and does not want his family to worry about his health in the future. He also acknowledged, he did have a Super Bowl ring, been to the Pro Bowl, been a All-Pro, so he has done everything a pro football player dreams of. I think he will lay-low for a couple of months and see what direction the Colts organization goes, and then make his decision. Sorry Ciefs and Pats fans, it would be wrong to see Saturday in anything else other than Colts Blue!!! If that did occur, your team would be better for it.

Agree with all the praise of Jeff S.
Class act on the field and a very articulate leader off it.
He was the only one that I could stand on TV during the acrimonious CBA negotiations.
Happy retirement Jeff and hoping we see you as an analyst on TV.

Regarding Manning, he can’t be traded before the new league year begins, and his $28,0000,000 bonus is due prior to the start of the new league year. The Colts either pay him or cut him – there won’t be a trade.

Awesome guy! Class act all the way and he absolutely busted tail during the lockout. All of the other players owe him a debt of gratitude. One of the few quiet, hard working guys out there… he will be missed. Even as a Titans fan I’m a big fan of Saturday.

Once you’re “thinking” about retiring, it’s time to go. There is simply too much work and too much pain for someone to put themselves through unless they are totally committed. He’s been a very good player for a long time…I hope he enjoys good health in his retirement.

He won’t be traded. According to Adam Schefter, he refuses to restructure his contract, which means that if he is traded, the entire 28 mil is counts against the Colts cap figure for next season, which in all likelihood would be unworkable for the team. Any team that he is traded to would probably want him to rework his deal, too, which he is apparently unwilling to do. So the Colts will either pay him the 28 mil and keep him, if he recovers sufficiently by the March 8 deadline to convince the Colts that he can still play, or they’ll cut him. I think the latter is more likely, given the fact that, months after the surgury, he hasn’t healed sufficiently to convince the Colts to pay him the money. In any event, the team is going to draft Luck.

I would have had Brett out with him having some excellent years in him, so I am no expert.
But Payton should hang it up for his own good.
You have had three vertibrae in your neck fused buddy! There is not a team out there that is a Payton away from another superbowl. It is done.
I know this is about Saterday. But Manning II should take the bloody hint.

Saterday would be a great O line coach to back up Payton as an offensive coordinator.

I call the plays, y0u teach the blocks!

For that matter he would be a great HOF NFLPA president, or a broadcaster…
