Pacman pleads guilty to disorderly conduct

Last year, during the lockout, Pacman Jones was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

It’s ridiculous,” Jones told WCPO Channel 9 at the time. “It don’t make no sense.”

Jones apparently has since figured it all out.

According to WLWT-TV, Jones has pleaded guilty to the disorderly conduct charge, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, in exchange for the resisting arrest charge being dropped.

“Just trying to protect someone that I love,” Jones reportedly told the court regarding his behavior. “I put it on myself. I just apologize to the officers and the people at the Justice Center. Truly realize I could have handled it better.”

Jones was sentenced to one year of probation, a 30-day suspended sentence, and 50 hours of community service.

The impact of Jones’ arrest on his existing probation in Las Vegas already had been determined, via the imposition of 75 additional hours of community service onto the existing obligation of 200 hours.

Next up for Pacman? A possible punishment from the league office, given that he was one of the eight players whom the NFLPA agreed would be eligible for punishment for off-field misconduct occurring during the work stoppage.
