49ers lose Brown, but take lead into the fourth quarter

San Francisco 49ers' Davis catches a touchdown pass in the end zone as New York Giants' Webster looks on in the third quarter during the NFL NFC Championship game in San Francisco Reuters

The Giants had the ball four times in the third quarter.  The result: Punt, punt, punt, and punt.

While New York has done a lot of good things in this game, they trail 14-10 heading into the final frame. Two big plays to Vernon Davis accounted for the scoring for the 49ers. San Francisco’s secondary is a little thin after cornerback Tarrell Brown left with a concussion.

The biggest worry for New York: San Francisco’s running game and pass rush seems to be rounding into form as the game wears on.

It looks like we’re headed for another fun fourth quarter.

Great game. Loving the defense by both teams.

Great game. This is what a good Defensive game looks like even when the offense have some skill. Unlike that joke of a NCAA National Title game.
