Weather shouldn’t be a factor in Foxborough

AFC Championship Football AP

We’re anticipating some rain and a sloppy field in San Francisco Sunday, but the conditions are comparatively mild in Foxborough for the AFC title game.

There is snow on the ground in New England, but it won’t be on the field Sunday. No precipitation is expected.

Temperatures are supposed to be around 30 degrees at gametime with a partly cloudy sky. Wind is not expected to be a factor.

It’s not exactly Honolulu, but it could be a lot worse in Massachusetts in mid-January.

Bill Belichick drops the ambient temperature of any room he enters by ten degrees.

Game will be close until Flacco starts fumbling snaps. Pats 30, Ravens 17.

The “snow burst” that occurred Thursday night in Foxboro would have been an interesting event if it happened during the game. Roughly 8″ of snow fell in less than 2 hours – not a blizzard but enough to make a difference. Being New England weather, the temps for Tuesday are forecasted to be in the 50s. ya nevah know.

Ravens won’t be a factor in Foxborough either.

Just saw all the thank you cards that TJ Yates received from Patriots coaches and players, they have a much better shot against the Ravens than they did the Texans….Your Welcome

Perfect conditions are blizzard weather. Then pass rushers are basically neutralized and you get all day to throw the ball.

    @descendency,

LOL you just made me think of the year the Pats had so many injuries that Troy Brown was playing some corner and nickleback.

Drew Bledsoe was QB for the Bills with fairly heavy snow falling in Buffalo. Threw a laser right to #80 (one of three Troy had that year). Brown was wearing the white visitors Jersey and Bledsoe was actually trying to hit #80 receiver on the Bills, can’t remember who that was now.

Not sure if Troy got the pick because he was semi invisible in the snow with the white jersey, or if Bledsoe’s brain just locked up on the #80 he had thrown to for so long…..

Uh, the Ravens went up and SMASHED the Pats right in Foxboro a couple of years ago – and yeah, they had Gronkowski, then, too.

That being said, Gronk and Hernandez give the Ravens too many targets to guard, and Pats will get over this year. They have been punked enough times by the Jets (my favorite one of all-time, CANT WAIT!) and the Ravens before then.

    Pats are due.

    aren’t they?

Don’t worry, Flacco supporters will still find an excuse.
