The Pats didn't beat a playoff team this season, they didn't even beat a team with a winning record until Bal gave them the win. so the Pats def stats should be thrown out the window. NYG are a better team, their off is twice as good as it was in 07. But, Bill and the pats already played (and lossed) to the NYG which doesn't bode well for the NYG either, but i'm not sure the mastermind really has the personnel to overcome the NY football Giants this year. Spread should be in the other direction.

Mr. Wright, you need to relax man. You keep going on and on about Patriot fans' insecurities, yet I see your name sprawled out all over these boards firing back against them post after post. Seems like you have some insecurities yourself. Give it a rest.

The game hasn't even been played yet. Year after year it's the same thing. People proclaiming the winner before it even starts, arguing the better matchups and stats, etc. When is everyone going to learn to just sit back and see what actually happens? Haven't we learned that anything can happen in the NFL?

Both team are different. Giants should be favored big time. Pats offense is good but that D sucks. Meanwhile that NY Offense is just as good if not better. Their D can really come after the QB.
Also Giants look battle tested on the road. They’ve been through a brawl against the best D in the NFC and came through (barely). I think they’ll have their way against that weak Pats D

Amazing how the weak Pats’ D allowed nearly 4 points less a game than that awesome Giants’ D isn’t it?

Amazing as well that the Giants’ “just as good if not better” offense scored nearly 8 less points a game than the Pats.

Despite that, the Giants “should be favored big time” because they look so much better on paper, right Einstein?

According to Mr Wright212 the 12-7 Giants are a gauntlet that cannot be stopped. This is the same poster that trashed talked every Pats/Jets game and then disappeared for weeks.

At least there are real fans like gobigblue310 that understand that this game should be very close being played by two very hot teams.

Come Sunday night I expect alot of the trash talking Giant fans to follow the rats back into the subway holes.

The worst scenario happened Sunday afternoon for any team playing the New England Patriots was Brady having his worst game of the season. Does anyone really think it is going to happen to games in a row? Based on history, not very likely.

According to me where? You’re worse than most broads twisting words to mean something that wasn’t said. I merely said the Patriots do not have any advantages anywhere on the field. That does not mean that decides the outcome of the game. I’m pretty sure THAT is what I said. Again, you Patriots fans will find anything you can — even if you have to make it up — to assuage your insecurities. Your fandom is a carryover from your erstwhile pathetic existences as human beings.

__
You should change your name to "Mr. Right"...because you nailed it. Nearly a century of the New York Yankees OWNING the Boston Red Sox will do that to a fan base.

Keep thinking Hernandez and Gronkowski will have field days. The Giants are a different team defensively than even Week 9 when Welker and Gronkowski had empty stats.

Keep thinking Hernandez and Gronkowski will have field days. The Giants are a different team defensively than even Week 9 when Welker and Gronkowski had empty stats.

__________________________________

You think Gronk having 9 catches for 100+ yards and a TD or Welker having 8 catches for 130+ yards are “empty stats”?

Alrighty then. Double up on the sessions with the shrink is my suggestion.

Amazing how the weak Pats' D allowed nearly 4 points less a game than that awesome Giants' D isn't it?

Amazing as well that the Giants' "just as good if not better" offense scored nearly 8 less points a game than the Pats.

Despite that, the Giants "should be favored big time" because they look so much better on paper, right Einstein?

Die hard Giants fan here, and I for one am not close to being over confident. Whether people will admit it or not we have as much reason to feel good with the ball in our QB's hands as the Pats do. That being said I dont care who's hot, what the spread is, or what the regular season defensive rankings say, anytime BB and #12 are on the other side line you know you're in for a war. If Big Blues O line plays the way they did against SF Wilfork will win MVP. If Edleman lines up in the secondary, whoever he is on (Hakeem, Victor, or Mario) will win MVP. Pumped to still be playing, and excited to see what both TC and BB come up with. bELIeve.

What is the same is that the Giants have been majorly impressive in getting back to the big game. They have essentially been in the playoffs since week 17 when they beat Dallas 31-10. After that they stymied Atlanta 24-2, pounded the Packers in Green Bay 37-20 and then outlasted the Niners. Wow! Quite the gamut. Eli has matured into an elite QB and leader.

The Patriots haven't changed much either. At least not in how they get it done. This squad isn't the best in the league. It's not even the best in its conference. But they are good enough, that if you leave it out there for them to take, even for just a moment, they will take it. Ask the Ravens. Who may be the best team in the AFC.

Last one to get the ball will have a chance to win it.

TheWizard says:

The Giants barely made the playoffs and suddenly everybody thinks they’re the 85 Bears?

They might just end up being exposed.
-----------

Who's said that? What the Giants HAVE done is shut down better offenses than the Patriots' in the past six weeks. Namely Green Bay, which only scored 6 points on Fewell's defense. The Patriots don't have any discernible matchup advantages anywhere. Period. I don't care if it's the '85 Bears defense or not, the statistics that the imbeciles keep spouting have nothing to do with what the Giants are doing RIGHT NOW. And those stats were built upon a season's worth of games missed by guys on IR and various junctures of the game. They're not just "hot", they're healthier and Fewell has scaled back the complicated reads and jargon.

Keep thinking Hernandez and Gronkowski will have field days. The Giants are a different team defensively than even Week 9 when Welker and Gronkowski had empty stats.

The bigger question is how do you figure to stop the Giants' offense? And as far as people saying they can't run it, they WILL and WILL be effective at it. If they can get 100 on SF, what makes you think ONE GUY can stop Bradshaw and Jacobs from doing so?
