It’s exactly the same way roethlisberger sprained his ankle, they will tape it, shoot it, and hope he can play through the pain. Same injury kept maurkice pouncey out, so it’s a painful injury but it can be played through.

I may be reading too much into the slo-mo replay, but it looked to me like there may have been more going on in Pollard’s tackle than just bringing Gronkowski down to the turf. Looked like a lot of extra movement at the end designed to do more than just end the play.

They say that kind of thing goes on to some extent, but this looked a little less subtle. If not, my bad, but if so, I feel a little less bad about the Ravens’ loss. (And I did feel bad about it, not because I’m a follower of either team but because it stinks to have a game end that way.)

Pollard made a clean hit on Brady when he hurt him and made a clean hit on Gronk. But Gronk is a beast and will play and play well. I still hope the giants hand Brady his ass though.

As a Giants fan, I KNOW he’ll be on the field. I wish he wasn’t, but I know he will be. And he will hurt the Giants. Obviously, I think NY will win. Eli and NY’s WRs in a dome is a huge advantage. But you haven’t watched football this year if you think Gronkowski won’t be a factor in the game.

Um….. I guess, anything could be a sign that it could have a lasting effect. How many times have we seen a player in a walking boot until Wednesday and plays on Sunday? This guy has two weeks. NFL teams use walking boots as preventative measures, even if they feel he’ll be full strength in 4 days, they use the boot to ensure all the time the player doesn’t aggravate it off the field. It’s essentially a sign of nothing.

I’m not a Pats fan, but I love the way Gronk plays. One year of fantastic play isnt quite enough to put him at the top of my list of best overall TE, but he came pretty damn close. I think he is going to be a very special player for years to come, and it wouldnt surprise me in the least if he became the 2nd TE in history to grap 100 catches in a season.
