@Green41563. Umm have you ever looked at Aikman’s career #s? His very best season featured under 100 more yds than Alex this year 1 less TD, 1 more int and a 6 pt lower rating. With 2 all pro WR’s an all pro TE, an all pro FB and RB and one of the nastiest o-lines in history.

The reason Aikman never posted big passing numbers is that they had the NFL’s all-time leading rusher and a run-first offensive coordinator. Aikman had ONE season of 500+ pass attempts.

I didn’t “choose” to see anything more or less because I root for the 49ers. nor do I have anything against the Giants. the 90/10% figures are rough estimates based on what I personally read here on PFT. I really don’t care enough to go back and add them all up just to satisfy you when they come out 83/17 or 76/24 or whatever very large majority it happens to be statistically.

why you chose the most irrelevant sentence in the entire post to pick a fight about is beyond me. it has very little to do with my point, it was just an observation. feel free to disagree, but I’m not going to waste any more time about a sentence that wasn’t very important to me to begin with.

I didn’t say my fan base was “better” than anyone else. I’m saying there are some sad fans from other teams who are bitter at the 9ers for whatever reason and hang out in 9er threads to hate on 9er fans. yourself included. go get some fresh air man, you HAVE to have something better to do with your time.

The sooner they get Colin Kaepernick on the field, the better. Draft a WR or two and they’ll be a good team for a long time.

Ah the classic “the backup QB is going to be the guy” arguement. Kaepernick is not ready and is not a good reader of defenses.

“zero” was admittedly an exaggeration. very rarely is ANYTHING all or nothing. but 90% of the 9er fan posts I saw basically boiled down to “Giants are a great team, expecting a great game.” and it was pretty obvious the other 10% of 9er fans who WERE talking trash were only doing it to “even it out” because the trash talk was so one-sided. even the vast majority of THOSE posts didn’t talk about how the Giants were going to get “exposed” or say they were a crappy team.

notice how the very things you cite as trash talk (SF has an amazing defense, Alex raised his game up) aren’t digs at the Giants, they’re rebuttals about the high quality of the 9ers’ play.

election after election has taught Americans that if you don’t respond at all to attacks, the public starts to believe them. even the blatant lies. so I can’t blame those 10%ers for standing up for the team. 90% of the Giants posts I saw were things like Alex Smith is a fraud, the 9ers are going to get exposed, etc. only about 10% gave the 9ers any respect whatsoever. and that 10% of Giants fans get mad respect in my book.

PS – I understand there’s people on this site who need to get their frustrations out by telling other people their teams are terrible. clearly there’s a segment of fans of all teams who are like that. but continuing to talk trash and following 9er fans around 9er threads AFTER the game is over? that’s just pathetic. go outside and get some exercise.

I love the 90% 10% statistics that came out of thin air. You choose to see the positive posts from SF fans more than the bad ones because well your a SF fan. Were there Giants fans talking trash? of course there were and to say it was 90% is ridiculous. I saw plenty of fans posting how they were taking the 49ers seriously including myself. The comment about the SF defense was just one example. There were also posts about NY is trash and go back to the Jersey shore and NY is garbage, etc etc. To generalize a whole fan base based on some idiot posters on a football site is ridiculous. My point was that you stated that Zero SF fans said nothing bad which is completely false. Don’t pretend like your fan base is so much better than other fans. There are jerks who are going to post crap no matter what from all teams.

I try not to think about the money involved with pro sports, but it’s unavoidable watching sports news or reading about it. It’s weird to be thinking about whether a that free agent my team might be looking to sign is worth x millions when I’m daydreaming at work, and then later that day wondering if it’s worth $10 bucks to go out for lunch with my coworkers or just to eat the bag lunch I brought from home.

Soooo it didn’t count in the NFC Divisional?

Why bother with Bowe, when VJAX will be cheaper and easier to draw in. I like Alex Smith, and it’s because he’s the same guy when the pressure’s on as when it’s off. Just like Harbaugh, except completely different personalities. They will co-exist just fine. The are the Yin and Yang of QB and Coach. Much like the one in NE. Smith has the potential to be what Brady was early in his career. Who cares if he doesn’t set the leauge on fire, Brady hasn’t won anything since he “Ascended”. Go Niners, Go Smith, Go Harbaugh. From a Bills fan who still hates Donte Whitner.

The real issue is WR…we have no speedster deep threat to keep Defenses honest. We also need to continue to bolster our O-Line and our DB’s.

Crabs is a slot type guy…we need a true #1 and a healthy Josh Morgan…we can be dangerous but we need to go get a solid, physical and quick WR…we do that and we’ll make it back next year.

I’m sorry, but the part about Giants fans talking and getting Zero response from SF Fran fans is the most ridiculous thing i’ve read. I could probably go back to a lot of the posts and find plenty of comments from San Fran fans talking a lot of trash saying that the Giants never faced a defense like yours and Smith was going to light us up like he did to the Saints, etc etc etc.

Both team’s fans were talking trash as this happens every week on this site where there are fans of the teams that advance start to talk trash..this week being the Pats and Giants. Guess what, it’s part of coming on a football site.
