I appreciate your insightful comments. Now THAT’S what I call a statement! Finally, someone who wants to talk football and deal with the issues. You’ve certainly clarified all of the issues we have been discussing with the cogent points you’ve presented here. It’s always nice to have a rational discussion with a real football fan. Thanks for enlightening me. Now that I have read your well-thought out explanation, I completely understand your point of view on this matter.
It’s always a pleasure to have an intelligent discussion with a thoughtful, sensible, well-spoken, knowledgeable fan; even if they represent a different point of view.
Anyone who doesn’t think this is possible only need look at your last post! I especially liked “milky white chowder you call a brain.”

Sorry patpatriot, perhaps you don’t understand that just because someone makes a statement that isn’t blowing smoke up Brady’s skirt it doesn’t mean that they’re bitter, or whining, or angry. Not everybody is a Patriots fan and everyone is just sick of trying to get that through the milky white chowder you call a brain.

Well. Twenty-four hours have passed and no response for either Larry (Pollard), Curley (Mr. Wrong) OR Moe (Bozo the clown). Perhaps they have finally taken the advice of many posters and are busily engaged in their anger management programs. Or maybe its because, if they can’t spew their usual vitriol, they have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of substance to offer. Whichever it is, it certainly validates the age-old adage that, “Silence (from some people) is golden!”

First Pollard, then Mr. Wrong, now Bozo For All. What do you all have in common? Aside from similar personalities, which a reader can only assume, none of you ever offer anything constructive. If you weren’t spewing hatred, you’d have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SAY. Here’s another suggestion. Try construct sentences that actually express complete thoughts. So, if you have nothing of substance to present as to why the Giants should win, but want to continue your inane remarks, at least make them readable!
Now, let’s get back to comments that relate to the upcoming game. Of course, should you be a Ravens fan, its clear that you are having a very difficult time letting go! We feel your pain. For the week leading up to the American Conference championship game, we had to watch Ray Rice take the first hand off from scrimmage and run all the way for a touchdown. Thankfully, we moved on to Bruins and Celtics.

Bernieboy – you LOST that game in 2008 where you made your bones and the Pats have beaten the Ravens 5 out of the last 6 times they played. With you or without – makes no difference.

Since the ravens won the title in 2001 the Pats have been in 5 SBs, counting this one. The Ravens? None.

Ask yourself the question – if you hadn’t made that hit on Brady in 2008 would you have done this interview?

Thanks for chippin’ in Camden Yard. I would certainly like to have someone like Bernard Pollard be a spokesman for any cause I might be supporting!
And, thanks for being the spokesperson for the football fans of America.
Sounds like you and Bernard make a nice team. The weight of authority – representing all of those people – must weigh heavily on your shoulders.
Now, how about speaking for yourself.
What you SHOULD do is take a deep breathe, look at your own team and direct your displaced anger where it belongs. The Ravens are a good team. They had an opportunity to send the game into overtime and they failed. Replay the game over in your head as many times as you like, the final score will not change. Time to focus on next year.

It’s always a pleasure communicating with Giants fans. Now if only the Giants are dumb enough to believe that “the refs are going to cheat for NE,” we’ll take that advantage in what will be a very difficult game against a tough opponent who are playing there best at the right time of the season.
Mr. Wright, who likes to make reference to history was critical of Patriots fans supporting their team, even though everyone knows that the only thing that the Sullivan ownership can be given credit for is that they brought an AFL franchise to Boston (New England), even though they did not have the finances to make the team competitive. In fact, they ultimately sold the team to James Orthwein (Budweiser family) knowing that he wanted to move the team to St. Louis. Then you wonder why New England fans didn’t support that team?
Mr. Kraft was a fan and season ticket holder. He bought the team and built a stadium using HIS OWN MONEY. That’s commitment and the fans responded in kind by supporting the team. They have had 100% attendance since (Not 87% or 92% or 98%, see Meadowlands attendance). The Patriots under the Kraft ownership have been the most successful team in the NFL and a model franchise that others have tried to emulate. Those are facts, despite Mr. Wright’s remarks to the contrary.
Of course, his own team is called the New York Football Giants, even though the baseball team moved to San Francisco in 1957. That’s a long time to remain confused. And they play their home games in New Jersey, not New York.
And, since you are a historian. Here’s some recent history. The New England Patriots have never called their quarterback “Hayseed” or questioned whether or not he should be traded. Nor have the fans called for the firing of our coach when the team got off to a slow start – not once but twice, including at the beginning of the present season.
So, while I questioned you as to what team you support (Mine is no secret. Sorry, I didn’t include my zip code, as if everyone knows where someone comes for by looking at their zip code, mine includes the name of the team. And I support them and will continue to support them whether they win the Super Bowl or not. That’s what REAL FANS do. They support their team and respect their opponents. It’s easy to throw out worthless trash, I guess. So, if that makes you feel good; then please continue to do so – even if it does make you look foolish to those of us who only know you by your comments.

While I’m new at this and my technological skills are at the Computer 101 level, “Mr Wright 21″ connected me with your site that states, “Mr. Wright, Real Estate Man,” which certainly tells me a lot about your character if you are in that field, and “Catty Women in the Work Place,” which I didn’t bother to read. So, I apologize if somewhere in that article it states your NFL preference. Didn’t see or know where to look for the area code.
I did read your prognostications on the AFL and NFL championship games. I wouldn’t want my football acumen judged on those evaluations!
As for my history revisions, I notice you didn’t comment on those. And I forgot to add that Mr. Kraft, despite his wife’s deteriorating health condition, was also instrumental in helping to settle the walkout and is one of the prime reasons why you will even be able to talk about and watch the Super Bowl next Sunday!
If I could add one more item re: the future. The Patriots should be even better next year with four draft picks in the first two rounds in a rookie cap year. No more “trading down for value,” they’ll be able to add some valuable pieces to an already young team as Coach Belichick has been able to transition them from an old team to a young one without going through a rebuilding year. History lesson complete.
I must comment that I do like your style. I’m
sure it helps you sell lots of real estate when you deal with clients in this current market.

It’s easy to hide behind a nebulous name and post a comment. Stand up and be counted.
Its no coincidence that the Patriots have been the most consistently successful franchise in the NFL since the Kraft family purchased the team. Under the previous ownership, the “Patsys” played in a horrible stadium – if you could call it a stadium – and the Sullivan family made no attempt to invest in putting a competitive team on the field. They didn’t have the financial backing nor did they want to spend what they did have on the team. They were too busy with get-rich-quick schemes like sponsoring the ill-fated Michael Jackson US tour. They didn’t deserve the fans who DID go to the games in spite of them. Yes, “Pats fans weren’t fans AT SOME POINT.” And anyone who knows their history knows why. The only way fans can protest incompetent, inept ownership is to not buy tickets. Its like any other business – you don’t spend money on the product. Nor was the ownership fan-friendly. Even the parking lots were unpaved. The Kraft’s immediately corrected these discrepancies, including building a new stadium WITH THEIR OWN MONEY, showing the fans that they were committed to winning. And winning they have. That’s why the Patriots have been sold out almost since they purchased the team and have a waiting list of thousands for season tickets. So much for history lessons!
Once again, it’s easy to be critical if you hide behind your anonymity. At least we KNOW who Bernard Pollard is! Now its YOUR turn. Or maybe like Pollard you jump from team to team each year,but in your case, depending upon the standings.

Thanks for the Patriots history lesson. As a Jets fan, it must be tiring watching them win their ONLY Super Bowl in 1960. Do you watch it in black-and-white or have they colorized it yet?
Or perhaps you believe your head coach who said it so many times that Jets fans may actually believe they won the Super Bowl the last few years. In that case, I hate to be the one to break it to you. Here is Ryan’s record during his Jets coaching career: No Divisional Championships, No Conference Championships, No Super Bowl victories. But hang in there. Things look GREAT for next year!

I wish Pollard would just shut up and take the high road, I understand that after a heartbreaking loss that a microphone shoved in someones face may draw a salty response but the ravens in general have been very proffesional about the loss. Cundiff answered every reporter that came his way as did lee evans. Hell even skip bayless tried to bait suggs into whining about the game and he didnt fall for it and he congratulated the pats. It should be a great superbowl and congrats to whoever wins it. I cant wait for the 2012 season.
