Keep up the unwarranted attacks on Patriots fans- who have sold out Foxboro every game since 1994, long before ring # 1- we don’t care.

You also might want to look in the mirror re: your own “fake” fan base who was booing Eli just weeks ago and was calling for Tom Coughlin’s to be fired- again.

Seems pretty hypocritical to me when you have to go to such great lengths to pat yourself on the back for being a “real” fan. Ad hominem attacks on other fanbases=lame, pointless and revealing your own insecurities.

Dude don't even try to pull that card. It doesn't work with me. What I said is true. If it doesn't apply to you INDIVIDUALLY, then fine. It IS true for the majority.

No. Questions about real-world game-planning are for the fans. "So what if Eli runs around like a headless chicken in the backfield, escapes the grasp of multiple defenders, then throws a wild pass that gets stuck to the helmet of a guy who's no longer in the league?" is not for the fans. Pats fans are the last people on earth who want to hear about David Tyree, and reporters know it. The guy was just trying to needle Belichick for a reaction. I'm not saying every question they ask is bait. But that one was.

I've heard Andy Reid's press conferences, and if I were an Eagles fan (and thank god I'm not), I'd be infuriated as well.

Can't compare Reid to Belichick though, BB has the credibility (via 3 SB wins) to get away with toying with the media the way he does. He also treats national and local media with the same disdain, whereas Reid's persona vis a vis national/local media is a stark contrast. Lastly, just about everything BB does on the sideline inspires confidence and trust- I'm still not sure Andy Reid has any clue what he's doing after 12+ years when I see him on the sidelines.

@bozosforall I LOVE how you are soooo obsessed with the Patriots and troll every single post involving anything associated with them. It's absolutely needless to say that Belichick, Brady and the boys have CRUSHED YOUR DREAMS likely on more than one occasion over the past 11 years (you must be a Steelers fan).

Ha! Keep sitting back and watching us win. Brady and Belichick are first ballot Hall of Famers and there's NOTHING you can do to change that. And their gorgeous NFL Films highlights in 20 years will feature not one but TWO smack downs IN HEINZ FIELD. PS - Do you have a job or are you just a troll in your Mom's basement?

When I went to journalism school, I missed the class on how to be an annoying pr*ck–which seems to be the objective of most “reporters” at these press conferences. Those kinds of questions aren’t designed to elicit any information relevant to the upcoming game. Their sole purpose is to needle the subject and record the reaction. More power to Belichick for refusing to play.
---------
You couldn't be more wrong. The purpose of the press conferences is for the coach to use the media as an outlet to talk to the fans. Regardless of how dumb or stupid the coach thinks the question is, he has to remember that he is not giving an answer to that individual reporter. He is giving the answer to the fans and the public.

This is why Philly fans despise Andy Reid. The reporters try to ask him a specific, detailed question his response is always "Uh, yeah, well we just have to do a better job with that". It's enough to drive you up a wall.

That's the media for you, they are always after juicy stuff. One thing I really like about Bill Belichick is how he answers questions. You usually aren't going to get anything that can be re-worded or twisted to turn into a juicy story. I also like how Coughlin answers questions.

On another note as a Giants Fan I will always be appreciative of what he has done for the Giants. He has a great defensive mind, and IMO does a hell of a job especially with LB's. Even in New England, it's amazing for instance when they needed to turn to some WR's in the secondary or CB's like Randall Gay and Earthwind Moreland. Love him or hate him, Bill Belichick is Hall Of Fame worthy and one hell of a Coach.

no matter what, pats wont be 19-0 after this super bowl.
thats the one belechick, brady, and all the crybaby pats fans wanted!
LOL!
you had one chance to be truly special.

Hmmmm, Pats won 3 Superbowls in 4 years, only one other team has ever done that.

Brady has been to 5 Superbowls in 10 years of being a starter (excluding ’08 when he got injured about 7-1/2 minutes into the game)

Belichick has coached the Pats for 12 years, has brought them to 6 AFC title games, 5 Superbowls, and is the only coach in history to win 3 Superbowls in 4 years.

Look at their win percentage since Brady has been their starter.

Did they go 19-0? No, but I’ll stack these accomplishments up next to your teams accomplishments, and who’s body of work will look better?

I think Belichick has done a pretty good job of capitalizing on the last 12 years as one huge chance to be “Truly Special” as you said. And he’s not done yet!

__
Other teams' accomplishments:

Packers - 13 titles
Bears - 9 titles
Giants - 7 titles
Steelers - 6 titles
Redskins - 5 titles
Niners - 5 titles
Cowboys - 5 titles
Lions - 4 titles
Browns - 4 titles
Colts - 4 titles

I'll take any and all of those as being greater than the three Spygate-fueled titles that the Pats won.

Giants' fan here - I still love Belichick. I also have absolutely nothing against the Pats. They beat the Jets yearly and that makes me happy. Brady seems down to Earth, he's tough, fiery, don't talk trash and I'd root for him in any other game just not this one. What BB and TB have done with that team in the last 12 years is remarkable.

Still, all that is not going to stop me from talking trash these next two weeks b/c as fans, what else do we have? Half of my family is from Mass and they dreaded this matchup. Edelman sounded defeated in his first interview. Eli, the best WR corp in the NFL and the Kraken are coming to cement our own legacy. If one certain dummy wore jeans instead of sweats, dynasty talk would be centering around my team this week, not N.E.!

Giants O- lineman clearly were holding on the Tyree play and ref didn’t have the “guts” to call it.

Pats Fan here. . . .the refs let them play. There were other instances in that game where the refs swallowed their whistles for BOTH teams. The refs let them play the game & didn't let penalties decide the outcome. I hope they do the same a week from Sunday.
