Because no other teams did anything fishy at home before… except the Colts piping extra crowd noise over the speakers, or the Cowboys opening up a whole wall of their stadium to let in extra wind during kicks, or… oh nevermind!

---------------------------------------------------------

how many of those teams lost a 1st round pick due to their actions? hmmm? none. zero. plus, the team and head coached were both fined on top of everything. so, whatever the patriots did, and we don't know everything they did, must have been super bad.

and i get why it pisses you off when people say this stuff... because you're a fan of there's, i get it. you're bias and that's ok.

Brown's the only guy on the Ravens who has really whined. John Harbaugh was pissed off after the game, but he still had the decency to shake Belicheck's hand and do the post-game interviews for the media. I think he deserves some credit for that, because he handled himself a heck of a lot better than his brother did.

As a Ravens fan, I blame Cundiff for the loss, but I also blame a number of other people: Torrey Smith (if he didn't slow down at the end of the first half, entirely different ball game), Lee Evans (when you catch a pass in the endzone, you go down IMMEDIATELY), Harbaugh (for not using the timeout), and the entire offensive line (for being the equivalent of a wet paper bag for most of the day). Football's a team sport. You win as a team, you lose as a team. It's very easy to point fingers at Cundiff or Lee Evans, but you could blame any number of people. If one person breaks a tackle or catches a pass or tackles a guy, that can change the entire game. That's what football is so exciting.

I have to give Cundiff props for even facing the media. I gained a ton of respect for him when he faced the media after what happened. Lord do I feel bad for Lee Evans though.

Props to the Patriots, they were the better team on Sunday, and best of luck in the Super Bowl.

“Grasping for straws….the Patriots are 68-19 since ESPN got all of your panties in a bunch over filming signals IN PLAIN VIEW to 70,000 people in the stadium. 2 AFC Championships and going for their 4th ring in 11 years. Keep hatin’, we just keep winning!”

Filming them was illegal. You cheated your way to three tainted trophies.

Why did Goodell burn the tapes without letting anyone see them? What is Goodell’s relationship with Kraft?

One hundred years from now, the Patriots will be known as cheaters. As it should be.
-------------------------------
I dont get why people think when an act of "cheating" occurs that all of a sudden everyone has the right to view the tapes like in the instance you point out?? Then there are the people who say, "largest fine ever", etc...Look at the money going around in the league today as compared to 5, 10, 20 yrs ago...there is always going to be a $ precedent set with the millionaire/billionaires of today. Just like you can't compare SamBradford's contract with Joe Montana, apples/oranges.

Nope. Goodell showed EVERYONE the tapes from Matt Walsh at a press conference! Pay attention. The taped showed signals out in the open for everyone to see....the scoreboard.....and cheerleaders. Oh the horror! And one hundred years from now, you'll be seeing NFL Films clips of the Patriots greatness and all of the Lombardi Trophies they won....and there's NOTHING you can do to change it! First they hire Denver’s offensive coach just before they play Denver in the playoffs. Then the scoreboard shows up with wrong information, which by the way, is very critical information in the final moments of a game.
Don’t forget, folks, these are the same Patriots that were found to have been cheating just before the SB against the Giants.
If you don’t think the Patriots cheat, you’re naive.

-----------------------------------------------------

Calling people naive when you dont even know what youre talking about. What a moron.

The Patriots were caught in week 2 filming defensive signals across the sidelines. Not right before the SB you idiot.

These are the same signals out in the open for everyone to see. With a pen and paper you could do the exact same thing. There are cameras everywhere picking up these signals. If you dont change signals when you play the same team in the same year, your coach is an idiot.

They never recorded any practice like most of you retards would believe. That was shot down instantly and made up without a source by JOHN TOMASE and he issues an immediate apology.

Now lets correct your errors,

First they hired Josh before the Denver/Pitt game, it just was not officially announced until after the game.

Second the score board and time and down and distance is all operated by an NFL official, not an employee of the Patriots.
There are also 2 down markers on the field on both sidelines that shows the down, also operated by NFL personal not Patriot employees.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

1) Their offensive coordinator announced in the same week he was leaving for Penn St. The Pats didn't need McDaniels to beat the Broncos by 18 points 3 week earlier...why would they need him after already figuring the Broncos out.

2) The scoreboard operator is an NFL employee, not a New England Patriots employee....and to infer that the scoreboard operator is in on a conspiracy when the downs are clearly marked on the sidelines and indicated by the officials after each play is beyond idiotic.

3) The Pats weren't found out to be "cheating" weeks before the Giants game. Week 2-3 vs. the Jets they were reported by the Jets for using cameras in the improper positions (not illegal to tape, just illegal to tape from where the cameras were).

People aren't naive, they're just not as unintelligent as you appear to be.

Nope. Dolphins lost a first round draft pick in 1970 for tampering. Tampering gives you a FAR greater competitve advantage than filming from a non-approved area. Move the camera to a different spot, and suddenly that makes legit.

OMG this whole "cheating" thing is just sad. 1st off the scoreboard is operated by NFL personnel only not the Pats franchise. If you've ever been to an NFL game there are often lags when it comes to the scoreboard and what is happening on the field. People will always think the the Pats cheat when they win any game because it's easier than admitting that your own team screwed the pooch! That's how losers think! There are only 4 downs not 10! The FACT is if you, as a coach, were doing your job by paying attention to the game you would have known it was 4th down and you would have called a time out to get organized! Instead they panicked under pressure. This is an excuse by the Ravens kicking team to absolve Cundiff and the coach of any blame and it's really pathetic! And remember this isn't the 1st time the Ravens have lost to the Pats and said they cheated. This is their MO. I'm not surprised in the least that they're going this route. But I guess whatever gets you off the hook in taking any responsibility for crumbling at the end.

unreal, this team has a " kicking consultant " a special teams coach and a head coach that was a former special team coach and still cant figure out the process of field goals? You would think with all that coaching the kicker would know you often kick on 3rd down at end of games in case of bad snaps. There is simply no excuse to not be ready to kick that field goal. Raven fans are very passionate but they even have to know enough is enough. Send the consultant and the kicker down the highway. While they are at it, maybe some of the high priced defensive stars can take a pay cut and get a decent kicker. You are only as good as the last man. Its not only the kicker who is wide left on that team.

So you thinnk you are calling a play on 2nd down and suddenly it says it's 4th down and you don't question it? Especially when you have a time out and don't use it?
