When we last looked at the status of former Chiefs head coach Todd Haley, it appeared unlikely that there was a place for him on the Cardinals’ coaching staff. But that may no longer be the case.

Today Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that Haley is meeting with Cardinals’ coaches and team officials about re-joining their offensive staff.

When Haley met with the Cardinals before, it appeared that it wasn’t going to work out because head coach Ken Whisenhunt does not want to demote offensive coordinator Mike Miller, and Haley didn’t want to take a job below the coordinator level. But it now appears that they may be able to find the right fit for Haley in Arizona.

Haley was the Cardinals’ offensive coordinator in 2007 and 2008 before leaving to become the Chiefs’ head coach. He previously coached the wide receivers with the Jets, Bears and Cowboys.
