Before you post some ignorant snarky comment trying to impress your boyfriend, you might want to take a look at the guy for who he truly is. The weight story is old; it just has a fresh soundbite. He will come in to camp just fine. He has all the motivation in the world.

If Knighton can get into any semblance of shape, he will be dominant. Especially when the team adds a d-end in free agency or the draft.

He was worthless pretty much all season long, but he could still hold the point pretty well. Being that he is fat and short, that makes him pretty tough to move.

Being 336 isn’t that heavy if your 6’6 or more. I’m 6’6 320lbs and I have a gut on me, but I’m not morbidly obese by any stretch of the imagination. Pot Roast is 6’1 and realistically about 360lbs. His butt is gargantuan, it’s so easy to identify him on the sideline because he’s the guy who looks like he has saddle bags on his hips.

His best season was when his weight was under control. He was explosive, powerful and could chase down the play from behind (some what). He even had pass rush skills at the proper weight, not so much as Tyson Alualu (w/o his bum knee) but Terrance was able to consistently push the pocket.

I think he is in a contract year this season or the next so I fully expect him to do whatever it takes to land that big money deal. However I fear that once he gets paid, he’ll turn into a big mondo fatass eating tons of his grandmother’s Mac-n-Cheese. I hope I’m wrong.

Now that’s funny.

Pot Roast will get it together. He’s a good player. No lockout this offseason the team will make sure he’s doing the right thing. Besides when your GM tell you to “get your weight under control and you and your family will be financially set for life” that should be enough motivation and if it isn’t then he’s just another draft pick to add the Gene’s bad drafts.

He’s a good player. If he keeps his weight under control he and Alualu could form a fantastic foundation in the middle of the line for years to come.

He’s a good guy, and the nasty comments people are making about him are unwarranted.

Knighton knows this is an issue and has spoken about it in the past, most notably during his second season. The lack of access to the team’s resources definitely hurt him last offseason in terms of keeping his weight under control. You’d hope that he would have taken the initiative to find and work with someone on his own, but that’s water under the bridge at this point. Gene Smith also told him that if he can keep himself in playing shape that he could set himself up for a payday that would take care of him and his family for the rest of their lives. That’s how much the front office and this team think of him. He just needs to go out and do it now. I certainly hope he does for his sake and for the Jags’.

Weight is not the same as fat. A LB isn’t “fatter” than a WR, he’s built differently. He could be “fat” or just not in the proper condition.

He is too fat! And the lockout did force him away from the team where the coaches could have staved off his showing up to camp so fat that they wouldn’t let him take the field. That being said, the dude’s nickname is “Pot Roast,” so don’t expect much.

Maybe he needs to start dating a nutritional specialist or something. I don’t know. But Pot Roast is a run stuffer and we need to get him on the field as opposed to having him hurt late in the season.
