Flacco's lack of development rests solely on Cam's shoulders. He doesn't rush Ray Rice enough, and his playcalling entails Flacco looking at his primary receiver, then immediately dumping it off on a 3rd yard flair to Rice. Either that, or fly patterns to Torrey Smith. The Ravens Offense has lots of talent, at TE, WR and RB... and a solid OLine... and, yet - every year under Cam, the Offense is stagnant. It has been ranked 18th, 13th, 22nd and 15th in Cam's four years as OC. He needs to be replaced.

"The one I keep getting flack for, is the suggestion that we let Cam go and bring in Billick as the O-coord"

This is the funniest thing I have read in a long time. Billick was a terrible OC. He had success because he was running an offense with a rejuvinated R. Cunningham and Randy Moss in his prime. His performance here proved he is NOT an "offensive guru"

I'm honestly okay with Cam staying. If you take into consideration the youth on offense, I can see no direction to head from here but up. Let Torrey get some more time under his belt, Pitta WILL become our #1 TE since Dickson has terrible hands, revamp the O-line, and let 'em rip!

The one I keep getting flack for, is the suggestion that we let Cam go and bring in Billick as the O-coord. There would be no backlash from Billicks former team since there are only about 5 players left from his last year, and he was an unbelievable OC prior to becoming the Ravens HC. I honestly think it would help him get his name back out there (since he won't see a HC spot open up for him) and possibly bring in a fresh perspective for the O. Definitely someone who could help Joe grow.

Cam didn't throw that 4th quarter interception, or fail to convert that crucial 4th&6 shortly after. He didn't under-throw those two passes to Torrey Smith and he didn't miss that chip shot of a field goal.

I think it would be a mistake to get rid of this guy just because the PLAYERS on offense came up small in the playoffs. Although, I must admit it that it would be funny/interesting to see who the organization chooses to scapegoat in Cam Cameron's absence.

1) check the source, Preston is an idiot and has no source

2) Cameron lost the game by not running the ball with 6 minutes left when the Pats were beat, Flacco should never get a pass play in that situation, that INT lost the game

3) Cameron lost the game by not securing home playoff, how...by throwing the ball 52 times against the seahawks

4) Harbaugh needs more control of the offense, its clear his special teams skills suck, maybe he should not come back...any coach would have called a time out, its not icing your own kicker, they needed the time out

"Cam did not miss the tying field goal nor did he allow the game winning touchdown to be slapped out of his hands. He beats any viable alternative out there (read: Hue Jackson, Mike Martz) and with the condition that he hire a QB coach, offensive production will undoubtedly improve."

This is ridiculous...there are much better offensive minds out there CC. Did he miss the field goal or drop the pass?No...but you miss the point. The way our offense was playing (and this applies to a lot of games over the past few years),we should never be in that spot. His play-calling is stale, simple, predictable, inflexible and downright laughable at times.....which is why numerous analysts have said his offense is like one out of the 60s.....

"Having the games best FB in Leach and one of the best running backs in the league and they dont use him as they should."

It's amazing how all these Squealer fans are so preoccupied with the Ravens and how they run their offense. It's like they are so afriad that someday, we might have an explosive offense while they continue to toil in mediocrity. Just as an FYI,the Squealers would have been 7-9 this year (as every year) if they didn't have Big Ben. He IS that team and when he is gone....Sqealers are in trouble!

First, The mans first name is Malcolm. Second, IMO both he and Pagano had excellent relationships with the H.C though looks could be deceiving. Third, and most importantly, if you have to rely on (A SOURCE) without a name, or title, nothing is of value. Cameron sure made his share of bonehead plays according to all of us Monday Morning Perfectionists thats true. Who throws a 15yd out pattern on 3rd and 2yds with Vonta Leach and Ray Rice in the Backfield? My feelings are that there IS a disconnect in Baltimore between the QB and OC and therein lies the problem. I think it has a direct effect on letting Flacco call his own plays and putting a leash on him. But, I dont feel (If its true) that Cameron is in a position to put demands on any new contract, i.e. QB coach (Though its needed.) He does have an Offensive mind and has had some better than average success in Baltimore. If he stays there, it wouldnt be the worst thing to happen to them. However looking at the faces on the players at the end of the AFCC, The worst thing to happen to them already occured. If he stays, and he should, I wish him Luck. If he leaves I hope the next OC has the strength to put up with the constant Criticism no matter how well they do...

Said this yesterday and I'll say it again. Cameron isn't the problem. Baltimore is not built for a shootout type of offense. Shootouts mean less rest for an amazing defense, which tires them out, makes them less effective, etc. Ravens aren't built for that and don't want that. They have a pro bowl running back, and a star studded defense.

Cameron's playcalling can be boring, yes. But everyone loves to judge with the benefit of hindsight. He wouldn't call a play if he didn't believe it would work. I trust him over internet trolls(no offense), and if every offensive player executes, every play on the field would work.

A QB coach is a great idea. Flacco's best year was when he had Zorn to help him. He's still on the right track. It will be interesting to see who they bring in. There are some intriguing candidates out there.

Teams keep hiring Baltimore D coordinators because their defense is so successful. The Ravens D is consistently good regardless of who coaches them.

Maybe it's more because of Lewis, Reed, Ngata, Suggs etc.....

Hate to break it to the guys and gals that don't like the Ravens. There is no more discord in Bmore than in Pigsburg. The fans don't like Cameron. Neither does Joe. He wants a QB coach he can talk to. No big deal.

Joe had nothing to do with Pagano. That is just silly. And as far as Pagano and Harbs, that is a heat of the moment thing. Harbs and Pagano are fine. Trust me. The insider sites say zippo about this.

I could see Harbaugh being pissed at Pagano in the Texans game. Andre Johnson had over 100 yards with a rookie qb throwing the ball. We got no sacks. And Arian Foster ran all over us. It's not a stretch to think that would piss a head coach off in our first home playoff game in 5 years.

As far as Cam Cameron...Flacco's up and down year had less to do with Cam than it had to with the shortened offseason, rookie wideout's, 2nd year tight ends, and an offensive line that you all saw get manhandled in the playoffs. The fact he didn't throw more picks than 12 is amazing. I'm not a Cam Cameron fan, but he's not missing blocks, cutting the wrong way, (RAY RICE), or dropping passes. We do have to open the offense up more though, because whenever Joe gets to do that, he lights up the scoreboard. We'll see.
