Why bother rehabbing at the Colts facility watching friends box up their office ? Instead of getting into a polite “gentlemen’s argument” go rehab somewhere else and get ready to exact revenge on the Colt’s with some mind-blowing performance with another team. It’s OVER so gear up for WAR !!!

effjohntaylornorelation says:

Colts fan needs to understand the relatioship dynamic here; Colts signed Manning to a new contract last year that paid him $25,000,000 +/- in good faith that he would play qb for them. Manning neglected to share with the Colts that he just had another neck surgery and couldn’t play but would take their money. While Manning has helped bring wins to the Colts let us not lose sight of the fact that he was compensated incredibly well for this. The Colts do NOT owe him anything for what hasalready happened in the past. Let us not be fooled by Manning’s “aw shucks” routine. His father has trained him well. Peyton, you basically stole $25,000,000 last year. You don’t need to act like a child because your friend got fired. Man up and say you want to play somewhere else. The more more this is allowed to play out I am understanding of why Irsay is gutting HIS company and starting over.

************************************************************************

Amen....dead straight. Manning signed the big mega-contract and did not disclose the severity of the neck situation. So yes..... he basically stole $25,000,000 this year.

Manning owes Irsay nothing. Manning success has done more for the city economically and philanthropically, than Irsay ever will. Irsay needs to tread lightly, he has enjoyed a 11-year run with Manning that many franchises would kill for. He may not ever sniff that kind of success again.

Reading some of the comments of calling Manning a baby and mentioning his post season record with this isn't relevant to Irsay becoming his father.

What Manning has done for that franchise is amazing especially with the lack of help Manning has had on both sides of the ball. Yeah of course Indy has some big names but not enough pieces to win multiple Super Bowls because of lack of moves in free agency and let's face it they haven't been able to draft a high draft pick since Dwight Freeney.

If I was Manning too I'd respond to everything being said about me too. No one has truly carried a franchise like Peyton has and made them a contender with no running game and a defense that can pass rush but can't stop the run for their life. Manning has also given that team life even when injuries took over that teams roster.

Anyone comparing Manning to Brett Favre obviously isn't a Manning fan or anyone that pays attention to him. Manning isn't pulling anything close to Brett Favre and unlike Brett Favre when Manning is playing he plays consistently well. If Manning is healthy he will make any team a Super Bowl Contender especially teams with a run game and defense. Peyton isn't too old and with his style of play can play for a great amount of time (as long as his neck holds up) at a top level.

1) 1984 - daddy moves the COLTS out of town in the middle of the night.

2) 2001-2002 jimmie threatens to move the colts in 2006 unless the city fathers will build him a brand new billion dollar stadium. If they had not done that the colts would have started the 2006 season in L.A. - after having won the SuperBowl - and indy fans who could stand to watch their old team's first game would have heard the p.a. system say: "Ladies and gentlemen, your World Champion Los Angeles Colts"

John Unitas is STILL the greatest QB in COLTS history.

I (almost) feel sorry for the indy fans, but I do get a kind of grim satisfaction from watching this pathetic little drama play out.

Colts fan needs to understand the relatioship dynamic here; Colts signed Manning to a new contract last year that paid him $25,000,000 +/- in good faith that he would play qb for them. Manning neglected to share with the Colts that he just had another neck surgery and couldn't play but would take their money. While Manning has helped bring wins to the Colts let us not lose sight of the fact that he was compensated incredibly well for this. The Colts do NOT owe him anything for what hasalready happened in the past. Let us not be fooled by Manning's "aw shucks" routine. His father has trained him well. Peyton, you basically stole $25,000,000 last year. You don't need to act like a child because your friend got fired. Man up and say you want to play somewhere else. The more more this is allowed to play out I am understanding of why Irsay is gutting HIS company and starting over.

Manning is such a whiner. The guy basically has has the run of the franchise for over a decade, has had input in personnel decisions, and been paid well over $150M from the Colts (including $28M last year for sitting on his butt) and now he wants to play the victim. You’re an old man Peyton and you don’t even have a winning postseason record. Quit crying.

He doesn't play defense. You clowns who love to cite that record conveniently forget that.

he should sign with the 49ers. he would have the benefit of the number 1 defense in the league.
the 49ers were only short a playmaking quarterback to make the super bowl.
==================================

That might be the best spot for Manning, but what the 49ers were missing were receivers, not a QB. Manning might do well there, but there's no Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne in SF to throw to. There's not even an Austin Collie.

Peyton has made how many millions and millions of dollars during his tenure in Indy? Why the heck does he feel entitled to more money or loyalty?? Especially when he made $26M+ this last year for doing ZILCH, while still making endorsement money. i understand he's done a ton for the Colts, but how much more money does he need????
