The Ravens have been the most consistent team in the league since Harbaugh got hired, but Patriots fans are still talking trash and pretending like they didn’t get outplayed and Steelers fans are forgetting about their loss to a college football team.

Um, after what happened to him in 2005 when he played there, I think it is reasonable to be “scared”. In case you are too stupid to have heard, he carries the sickle cell trait, and as a result of the low oxygen levels in Denver (mile high), he had complications that resulted and nearly a week in the hospital and the loss of his spleen and gall bladder – and he was actually lucky that it wasn’t worse. So, um, get a clue moron.

If that constitutes for you a successful year, then its sad that your goals are set so low. I’m sure if you asked the players, they’d be happy if they lost both of those games but still won the Super Bowl.

Ask the Patriots who won every game a few years ago -beat everyone they played – except the Super Bowl. Would they consider that a successful year?

the colts you speak of play in indianapolis. the ravens that play in baltimore were the cleveland browns before they moved to baltimore. i get what you’re saying about the championships belonging to the city, but the ravens ARE the old browns in a different city. couldnt call them the colts because that franchise already existed (which is why the browns were able to use that team name once the league approved a new team), so they called them ravens to distance themselves from the browns.

Since the Ravens came into the league the Steelers have swept them 4 times to the Ravens 2.

Steelers have won 9 Division titles to the Ravens 4.

The Steelers have been to the AFC Championship game 6 times to the Ravens 3 with the Steelers beating the Raven in title game in 2009.

Steelers have won 2 Superbowls and lost 1 compared to the Ravens 1 Superbowl win.

The Steelers have beat the Ravens 18 times and the Ravens have beaten the Steelers 14 times.

But who is counting,right?

Every Pats fan that I’ve seen or talked to this week have been very complimentary of the Ravens. So, these comments mean very little. Nothing posted on this message board surprises me. Especially how 90% of my comments come down immediately.

For those who think the Ravens won’t “Sniff” the Lombardi Trophy again, do you really believe that? The Ravens are an elite team that competes for the AFC Championship every year. The core group of players are very young. With the Exception of Ray and Ed, you have all pro talent at many other positions.

Ngata, Suggs, Webb, Cody, Kruger, J. Smith, McPhee, etc on Defense…All young

Rice, Flacco, T. Smith, Pitta, Dickson, Grubbs, Yanda, Leach, etc on Offense…All young

See you next year Pats and Steelers. I have a feeling one of these three teams will be playing for the Super Bowl next year. As usual…

The Steelers gave up the fewest big plays in the league, which means Ryan Clark was the best as the last line of defense…

Ed Reed, meanwhile, gave up 8 plays of 40+ yards. He wasn’t even close to being second in the league for allowing the fewest big plays.

You can’t even say Clark is overrated. #1 tackler on the #1 defense in the league, something Ray Lewis has gotten to say only once in his career, despite having his tackle stats inflated year after year.

If you were smart, you would have read what Clark said. He wasn’t talking trash, he was just saying that the Ravens have to be depressed because they keep making it to the doorstep of the SB. They ust can’t get past teams with good QBs.

It’s too bad for them that every team isn’t playing with a 3rd string rookie.

For all the idiots saying the Ravens are the old browns that’s wrong. The Ravens are the OLD COLTS. That History of Superbowl Championships belongs to the city of Baltimore. That city’s NFL TEAM played in the greatest championship game ever,won another superbowl and choked to the Jets. Then the team was stolen and when the NFL came back to Bmore another lombardi was won in 2000.

That’s 3 world championships for those who care

As a Pats fan I have no idea why patriotsinvasion has to chime in with such an obnoxious comment – we have all lost heartbreakers and I think 99% of ravens fans and players have been dealing with it well – plenty of normal boasting b4 the game and now moving on – all the sensational stories have been generated by quotes taken out of context and stories designed to inflame, some of those on this site.

I think I speak for all Pats fans when I say the obvious that we were 1 inch from losing and a few yards from OT. Luck always plays a role.

Clearly Clark feels badly, even for his rival. So many things have to go right to win it all.

I think that what Clark says is the same thing that Ray Lewis said in the locker room after the loss. Winning a Superbowl is HARD. The Ravens basically relaxed a half second (Lee Evans) before they accomplished the next required step. Asa consequence, we lost (Yeah, Cundiff’s miss was the next huge lapse).

Bottom line: If I know the Ravens organization, the Ravens have already begun the process of winning Superbowl XLVII.

QB is about leadership, not stats. Brady, by his own admission, did not have his best day. But when the Pats were down 4, he took them the length of the field and put them ahead on their next possession.

Flacco showed that he is also an excellent leader. The Ravens got the ball near the end of the game and Flacco lead them down the field, threw what should have been a game winning touchdown pass, and had them in position for what should have been a game tying field goal. Anyone who blames Flacco for that loss is a fool.

Wow, I’m not a fan of Clark because I think he’s a head hunter. However he’s a talented player who demonstrated a lot of courage by trying to play in the Denver playoff game.

The last time he played in Denver he became violently ill and lost his spleen and gall bladder in addition to losing 30 pounds because of deprivation of oxygen to his major organs.

The Steelers made a very wise choice in not allowing him to put his life at risk.

I hope you’re merely uninformed.
