Seven Giants miss practice

The Giants got back to work on the field Thursday, but seven members of the team weren’t able to practice.

Hakeem Nicks, Corey Webster, Ahmad Bradshaw and David Baas were the biggest names on the list. Nicks sat out with the shoulder injury that caused him to miss some time in the NFC Championship Game victory. Nicks returned to the game and there doesn’t seem to be much worry that he’ll be compromised for the Super Bowl.

Baas also missed time during the 49ers game with an abdominal injury. He is also listed on the injury report with a neck injury that has caused him trouble at various points during the season. He told Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger that he expects to be back on the field Friday.

“I got my neck issue and it should be fine,” Baas said. “I mean, massage, ice all the normal stuff. But yeah, it’ll be good, should be back out there tomorrow doing stuff.”

Bradshaw has practiced infrequently since missing time with a foot injury earlier this season and Webster is dealing with a hamstring injury. Both are considered precautionary measures to make sure the players are in top condition when Super Bowl Sunday rolls around. The other Giants who didn’t practice are linebacker Chase Blackburn, punt returner Will Blackmon and linebacker Mark Herzlich.

  1. Both Blackmon AND Herzlich didn’t practice?

Tom Coughlin showing his ant-Boston College bias once again.

That’s two players on the entire roster? Oh yeah, that’s a bias if I ever saw one…

Bozo, how many of your beloved Jets missed practice today?

    Oh, wait…

Keep on believing in fables, Ralphie boi. The Jets are, were nor will ever be my team…but I will cheer them on whenever they play the Pats…particularly if they beat your soon-to-be-fading team in the years to come.

  6. Ralphie… Bozo is too cowardly to admit who his NFL team is. He abandons his home town (or maybe it abandoned him) though, and roots for the Lakers and Yankees and LSU… all front running teams! Based on that set of teams he slurps, you would think that the Cowboys would be his NFL team. The truth is though his team is far more pathetic than the Cowboys, or even the Jets (which is saying something.) It’s the Vikings, for the purple coward.

  7. Lets see,

Tom Coughlin – Former BC Head Coach 91-93

    Chriss Snee – BC grad

    Mathias Kiwanuks – BC grad

Mark Herzlich – BC grad. Drafted as a UFA when nobody would touch him and could possibly have been put on IR towards the end of the season.

Sounds BC biased to me….. If anything, I think he favors BC… Come on man, know your facts…
