Nice joke. Only 1 problem, though:

Lincoln’s head “injury” happened in 1865, not 1864…

My personal favorite is after the game has ended and they are celebrating on the field, BB leans down from the podium to Gronk and says something like, “That’s why we got you. Are you all right?”

Gronk replies something along the lines of, “Yeah, man! I’m good, dog!” He calls BB “dog” … too funny.

Also, lots of good back and forth with him and Suggs. I’m starting to think having him as a blocker in this game might be a bigger difference (from last time) than having him out there as a receiver. Beast.

A bunch of doctors on this forum. There are completely different kinds of high ankle sprains, so yes, there are exceptions. Just ask T.O.

Unless they’ve seen the MRI, no one here knows how long it will take Gronk to get healthy.

Hey, smart guy, both teams earned the right to be there. There is no injury to ANY player that would take away from the accomplishments of the victor. Did the 9ers victory against the Saints mean any less because P Thomas was knocked out on the opening drive? No. We are all human and injuries are part of the game and part of life. So whether you are a pats fan or not, you are a turd.

He’s young, but Gronk will be slowed up a bunch after just 2 weeks, and may be only good for 1-2 quarters….the ONLY player I’ve even seen come back from one quickly was TO, for the Pats-Eagles Superbowl. Most recoveries are more like Roethlisberger’s – anybody see him try to run even 4 weeks after his? Not good.

HUGE loss for the Cheats…don’t kid yourself that Gronk will be anywhere near as effective in the SB as he was during the regular season.

Cheats…thats pretty funny.
Do me and yourself a favor and google “Bill Cower, Spygate” and then get back to me how he did the same thing as belichick and every other coach in the NFL-except where he said he did it on the offensive side of the ball.
We won’t even get into how the 70′s “Steel Curtain” kept the steroid industry alive and well.

I’ll tell you what happened. When opponents know a player is injured, they go after that player where he is injured, trying to knock him out of the game.

The Giants did this Sunday against Kyle Williams, game-planning to hit him hard because of his previous concussions, and knock him senseless.

D-backs have been giving him the ole’ routine all year long rather than get in his way.

HUGE loss for the Cheats…don’t kid yourself that Gronk will be anywhere near as effective in the SB as he was during the regular season.

Ben had a similar hit in the Cleveland#1 game and you saw how ineffective he was after. And he didn’t have to run full-speed patterns and cuts like Gronk will need to.

High ankle sprains take 6 -10 weeks to fully heal….I’ve had ~ a dozen playing basketball for 25 years. 2 weeks of therapy is not nearly enough time for Gronk to be able to perform well.

Nothing about the Patriots should be assumed to be as you see it or read it.

Except next Sunday when the G-men kick their behinds.

I want the winner of the game to beat the other team at their best, not scrambling to patch a big hole. It would make the victory mean a lot less if the Giants win, and aggravating if the Pats win due to one of their main contributors not being able to take part in the crowning game.

I haven’t heard much talk about it, but I didn’t like the tackle that caused this injury. Looked to me like it was a very intentional effort to wrench his leg, not just bring him down.

One of the local Boston sports sites said it was ligament damage.

A high ankle sprain seems less severe. I would assume you could further aggravate ligament damage and make worse.

Yo doc, I’m not there yet, but I can tell you a high ankle sprain = ligament damage. They are one in the same. The ligaments in the ankle are damaged/sprained.

BB: Gronk, how you feeling today ?

G: 100% already coach, good to go !

BB: Excellent. I want you to tell your dad to speak to the press and tell them you have a high ankle sprain. Think he can pull that off ?
