LMFAO!!!
You sir, truly haven’t the faintest idea of what you are talking about. You must be a polititcian.
Of course, ignorance IS Bliss, as the saying goes…

As far as football knowledge, considering your ridiculously, ill-informed assertions about NE football fans, I’d be better served to converse with a local Pop Warner player than listen to the drivel you’ve been spewing.
Have a nice day

----

Well, you DID ask, didn't you? I merely stated the harsh, painful truth which you obviously aren't equipped to handle. Ergo, being the weak minded person you appear to be, you immediately started name-calling and talking down.

Good luck finding that Pop Warner player. Hopefully, they'll lie to you. That way, you wont fly into some kind of rage and hurt the poor kid for telling you what you can't handle about the history of Pats fans.

For the record Logan Mankins said this "I don't know. I'd like to think we can run on any team but some days it just doesn't go that way. They do a good job with both. They have good linebackers, big linebackers and their front four, they play the run just about as good as they play the pass. Either way you dice it, it's going to be tough running or passing."

No joke, had he said that with the NY media, they would find a way to make an article like "Mankins confident in running game" then they will take the quote "we can run on any team". Now is that fair? And those that say I'm wrong look at what they did to Rolle for saying "in our minds we can't be beat", not Giants "can't be beat".

Same goes when Justin Tuck was answereing a question about Michael Vick's ability to pick up extra yards when close to the sideline. He said “As a defensive player in a situation like that, I’m going to err on the caution of knocking him out of bounds,” Giants defensive end Justin Tuck said. “We’ve seen so many times with a guy like Vick tiptoeing on the sideline, catching his balance and going for another 50. So in that situation, I’m going to hit him. Simple as that.” Instead people said that Tuck threatened to knock Vick out.

"Well, since so many of you are insinuating that the Pats have already beaten the Giants in this upcoming game, and that the 5th ring is all but in the bag,"

With such a wealth of football "knowledge" I guess it's no wonder you can't count:
Pats currently have 3 Super Bowl rings. And the number 4 immediately follows the number 3.

@mrWright ( WRONG, actually would be a more apt calling card):
"Hey Pats fans…a Pats win is far from a foregone conclusion in this game. I get the arrogance, because thats what we all expect from such a frontrunning fanbase who has no idea what it’s like to be around when the team was bad. Don’t write the Giants off. Friendly advice.

Truth."
******************************************
The reality is that vast majority of Pats fans realize and believe that the outcome of this game is ANYTHING BUT a forgone conclusion.
But for you and certain other Gints fans, recognizing and admitting that actual "TRUTH" would be contrary to your asinine, infantile posts and generalizations against an entire population of NFL fans.
You guys truly live in a fantasy world...

Hey bluefan204!

Please! with your worldly wisdom and endless depths of football knowledge,
can you enlighten us NE newcomers to this game they refer to as football?
Because it is exactly as you say it is:
We’ve only paid attention to Professional football since Bledsoe got knocked and our Hero-TOM BRADY – came in as a bench player and carrier us to the promised land.

Can you please impart upon us unworthy masses your all-knowingness football wisdom??

---

Sure! Before the Pats were a consistently winning franchise, they had very few actual die-hard fans that gave a damn about them. They never went to games, and most couldn't name more than 2-3 players on the roster unless they were mentioned in the national media more than twice.

Football wisdom? Well, since so many of you are insinuating that the Pats have already beaten the Giants in this upcoming game, and that the 5th ring is all but in the bag, I'm not going to bother attempting to educate you on the finer points of the game of football. You couldn't possibly understand something so complex.

This is a question for Giant fans and not so much on this article.

If Belichick was the defensive coordinator when the Giants won Super Bowls in 1980s and Coughlin was the WR coach…who was the offensive coordinator?

I’ve the internet but came up empty…
———————————————————

Ray Handley was the OC in 1990 when the Giants won their 2nd SB (not sure before that). I only remember his name because it makes me shudder and gives me a sickly feeling all over. He acme the HC after Parcells retired, a true DARK ERA in NYG football.
--------------

Erhardt and Belichick were our coordinators until Parcells left. Handley didn't hire an offensive coordinator when he got the job, remember? That's partly why the team was so putrid offensively. Defense was still there, but remember LT also got hurt in '92. Offense was only slightly better when Fassel got the OC job in '92, but ROD "READ AND REACT" RUST had us playing some of the worst defense in Giants history (before Sheridan came along). It's all still crystal clear to me all these years later. And I, like you, SHUDDER TO THINK about those post-Parcells years. A couple of blips on the radar under Reeves and Fassel, but that's why Giants fans should appreciate Tom even more.

But, at some point, some 3 brain-celled player is goining to open his mouth, and a few more may follow and that seems to be happening now. The Giants are trash talking and it is sure to get worse as the week progresses. The Giants are taking this game as a formality

Oh, you mean something like

"17 points? Thats all we're gonna score?"

Sounded to me like some 3 brain celled player was taking THAT game as a formality. Bit him in the a** too, didn't it?

Hey Pats fans...a Pats win is far from a foregone conclusion in this game. I get the arrogance, because thats what we all expect from such a frontrunning fanbase who has no idea what it's like to be around when the team was bad. Don't write the Giants off. Friendly advice.

1. The NY Media ceases to amaze me. Literally they are not only looking for numerous stories out of one players press conference, but some juicy quotes. Or in many cases they can simply do some "..." and editing work to make it look like what they want.

2. Players, especially in the biggest markets, need to realize that the media is after stories. It will always be that way. Be very wary of what you say, be a great listener and don't be anxious when asked multiple questions. Several members of this Giants team need a class regarding this. Give the media answers, but be very general and don't give them anything to quote. Therefore if they do somehow quote you anyway, it will end up as a bad story about nothing.

3. As a Giants fan I like the way most of the Giants (don't forget it's a 53 man roster) are acting and how all of the Patriots are acting, and hopefully the Giants try to give the hungry media nothing to quote.

It's comical how fans get soooooo bent out of shape about players talking trash. I mean, how dare anyone disrespect the Patriots by talking about them? Fans shouldn't take it as a personal insult, it's just "business".

If the Patriots need the Giants trash-talk to motivate them to win THE SUPER BOWL, then they have serious motivation problems. I would assume that whatever Osi says (and, I'm sure Antrell Rolle isn't too far behind), isn't going to light the spark under the Patriots. I mean, they ARE the #1 seed for a reason...because they were the best in the AFC without the Giants "motivation".

If Belichick was the defensive coordinator when the Giants won Super Bowls in 1980s and Coughlin was the WR coach…who was the offensive coordinator?

I’ve the internet but came up empty…

Ray Handley was the OC in 1990 when the Giants won their 2nd SB (not sure before that). I only remember his name because it makes me shudder and gives me a sickly feeling all over. He acme the HC after Parcells retired, a true DARK ERA in NYG football.

Um, really? I’ll gladly trade Light for Osi.

That leaves just 2 good pass rushers for the Giants with no rotation against All-Pro RT Sebastion Vollmer and 1st round pick LT Nate Solder. With Gronkowski chipping, that pass rush should be shut down and Brady can have a field day.
====================
The Giants would like to introduce you to Mathias Kiwanuka and Dave Tollefson, two pass-rushing DEs that would start for any other team in the NFL. Because they're Giants, they're starting at OLB and ST, respectively.

If the Giants lined up against the Pats with all 5 DEs across the front (Osi, Kiwi, Tollefson, JPP, and Tuck) on a 3rd and long, Brady would call the fastest time-out in NFL history, saying to Belichick as he walked to the bench, "we can't block that!"
