I think RAC will make a good HC this time around. Hopefully, Pioli can provide him with the talent to win which he didn’t get in Cleveland.

I haven’t been this excited about the Chiefs’ defense since the Derrick Thomas era and I have to credit Crennel for that.

That’s why I don’t mind if he have HC and DC duties as long as they find a competent OC to make this team truly great.

By the way, who would have succeed under “GM” Savage?

He’ll probably hire an assistant no-name who you’ll see on the sideline, to help him out, even though Romeo will make the final calls. That seems to be the Belichick way (since Crennel and Weis left.)

The Chiefs ranked 31st last season in scoring. Only the lowly Rams scored less points than the Chiefs. The Chiefs averaged a miserable 13 points a game. Now having said that I cannot empathasize enough how IMPORTANT THE OC JOB IS. If they don’t get the right OC in there we are doomed for another season. God I hope Pioli is smart enough to figure that out. Iam fearful they will go the CHEAP route like they usually do and promote from “within”. That seems to be their reputation. Doing things on the CHEAP.

The mistake(s) he made in Cleveland was accepting the job in the first place. NOBODY can win in that pathetic organization. The best thing that happened to him there was getting let go so he could flee.

Could be Belichick all over again. He also left Cleveland for his second coaching stint – will be interesting if they discover a star already on the team in Ricky Stanzi.

Makes sense. That defense has looked near-elite at times under Crennel. With Eric Berry back, things should be interesting.
