He knew they couldn’t stop a HOF QB at the peak of his career from marching down the field for the score so he took the risk.

Great call IMO- if you had been offered this deal before the game, would you have taken it: you have to gain 2 yards to win the game, on the road. That’s it, 2 yards for the win, regardless of where on the field…gain 2 yards and you beat a great team in their building. I would go for it too.

The colts had just driven 80 yards twice in the previous 5 minutes, kicking the ball back to indy with 2 minutes left would have had the same result. It was the right decision to go for it, unfortunately they didn’t make it (personally I thought it was a horrible spot) but it is what it is.

If I remember correctly the Patriot’s defense couldnt stop Indy at all. So he figured if we make this 1st down game over. He had zero trust in his Defense, which was understandable that day@

That was the right call. That defense was gassed and it wouldn’t have made any difference where the Colts got the ball, they would have driven the field anyway. You want to beat Peyton Manning? Keep the ball out of his hands. And it sure looked like Kevin Faulk was straddling the 30 yard line when he secured the football. First down.

The problem wasn’t that he went for it on 4th down. The problem was that it appeared that he didn’t make that decision until after 3rd down.

We are going to find out something about him and a certain Mr. Bundchen on Sunday. There is a lot at stake here.

Lol at all the people that think going for it on 4th and 2 was a bad decision.
The fact is, 3/4 of the coaches in the league wouldn’t have the sack to make a move like that. They’re too busy looking over their shoulder worrying about job security.

As August1969 said, the back did in fact have posession and two feet down and then was tackled. Terrible call by the refs and replay (shocker). As a coach he has 5 SB rings total, 3 as a head. This just in, he’s pretty good.

Yeah they are the failsauce at drafting WRs (outside of Branch and Givens) so it could be Bethel J you are thinking of, or Chad Jackson, Price etc. etc.

I think BB likes this team and realizes how amazing they’ve been, what they’ve overcome. I feel the same way, regardless of what happens Sunday.
