Rodgers, we all seen how good he was when his back up came in and played the same position with all those weapons. I guess Favre was right when he said in his final year when he was let go that the Packers were the most talented team he’d ever been on or seen.

P. Manning? How many snaps did he take this year?
Big Ben, top seven quarterbacks look better than that playing the Donkies.
Newton, we’ll see after next season and the defenses hava a chance to make a game plan. His production fell off a wall as the season went on. BUT, I think he’s pretty good.

The one you failed to mention was any other quarterback on the Raiders roster.

Not a bad try though.

He threw 6 pick 6 the year before in the Nati with a full camp and pro bowl WR. Good luck with your bromance for CP. Maybe he will quit on your team too since Hue is gone.

Number 1 too much hue h8 number 2 hue had to get the final say from mark Davis on the trade was not hue alone so get off that and if we’re not in the playoffs next yr should of kept hue if we don’t have a top 10 off again for the 3rd straight yr idk wat to say let’s hope fake cp3 since that’s Chris Paul’s nickname don’t throw a ton of int’s b/c he does that a lot and Jason cam did a good job last yr and this yr the way sum of u fans talk makes it look like ur clueless about this team

We will depend on Carson Palmer because we have to. Palmer was shoved into a bad situation as a quarterback and performed really good. 16 picks, sure, exactly half of those came in games he shouldn’t have even been in yet. and 3 came because of tipped passes and a receiver falling down. Pretty good stuff. He’ll pass for 4500+ yards next year and win a playoff game.

I’m more concern of keeping Al Saunders as OC. I hope we keep him for continuity reason and dump Bresnahan. We scored enough to be competitive but the defense kept giving it away.

If “more than fine” means throwing more INTs than TDs (Palmer threw 16 picks and 13 touchdowns in 2011), then the Raiders should have never parted ways with JaMarcus. His arm was more than fine.

Palmer proved there is nothing wrong with his arm. You can’t throw a guy out there with no training camp and no practice time and expect him to light up the league. If he could he would have been worth far more than the draft picks Oakland spent for him.

Wow, The new GM said there would be competition for that starting QB position. The new HC says that C Palmer is his starting QB. Hummm, makes you wonder if the inmates are still running the Asylum. Power is already affecting D Allen ability to make sound decisions. Even if you know, that you are going to start Palmer you still should follow the lead Reggie MeKenzie set forth. Futhermore, to make that determination this early is like driving the first nail in the coffin. The smart thing would be to open it for competition and go from there. But, I guess if you got to pay him the big bucks you may as well play him, regardless of the consequences. How, sad and what a very disappointing start to a new season. Again mediocrity rules in Oakland, it high time players earn the right to play and not have a position given to them base on there past exploits…..Very very saddwn by such irrational behavoir already.

Same old haters. You pay no attention to what’s going on, just repeat the same old mantras.

Palmers arm is fine, more than fine in fact. He threw some passes last year that about 90% of the league can’t throw. He did this without so much as a training camp, and learning his receivers and the offense on the fly. What Palmer adds is exactly what the new Coach said he wanted: Explosion in the passing game.

As to Coach Allen himself, I was extremely impressed. He carries himself like a seasoned veteran and seems very self assured. He gave off this impression that nobody should be surprised he got this job because he was the best candidate hands down.

This guy reeks of confidence and looks like somebody who won’t take any crap. Just what the Raiders have needed for about the last 20 some odd years or so. No more scholarships to the Al Davis Country club for underachievers. It’s a new day in Oakland and the future looks very bright.

I criticized the move at the time but Palmer looked very good this year.

Most of the time as a starter he didn’t have his weapons healthy, either.

If the Raiders can get that defense going a bit they’ve got as good a shot as any team in the AFC West!

I watched the presser live. Allen seems to be a no frills take no crap type of guy. He said he will be holding players accountable, so there’s no more free rides or Al Davis pet projects. The Raiders are indeed entering a new era.

Uh, the only WR with bad hands is DHB. Moore and Ford are good pass catchers. Both were hit with freak injuries, how can they not stay healthy? First time Ford missed time and Moore is a rookie.

The only discussion talking heads need to have with Dennis Allen right now is the one about penalties and discipline. Those are team issues that are addressed at the top of an organization. Anything could happen with players between now and training camp. After penalties and discipline then let’s talk about what kind of assistant coaches he wants. Those topics will give us answers to what kind of coach he’s going to be.

Carson Palmer is a good enough QB to build around.
