I will tell you that youre putting Ward on a pedastal looking through your black and gold sunglasses (in my humble opinion of course). The guy doesnt care who he plays for, hes more worried about getting his dollars up before he retires. In fact hes lucky if he makes it through training camp this year still wearing our colors.

Had he not gotten 1000 receptions (how pathetic and forced was his 1000th by the way?) he wouldve dreaded coming back for another season just to get a few more catches. I doubt he plays this year and if he does its not for us. The Rooneys refuse to pay for players that have little to offer.

Maybe if this were pre 2008 Ward would never play anywhere else, but now that hes washed up he may rethink HIS position in this city.

As one of the oldest Steeler fans (I’m also in that catagory), what are you talking about. Hines loves the Steelers; doesn’t want to go elsewhere. All of the players love it here and want to stay. That doesn’t happen when they’re not fairly paid. Better rethink your position!

He was without a contract, and had an offer from another team. He listened to what was being offered, took the offer to Rooney and said, this is what I have been offered, but THIS is where I want to be.

You CAN NOT fault a man for looking at his options, like Butler did. If the Rooney’s are willing to pay him coordinator money to be a position coach, then obviously they have big plans for him.

Haley is not Steelers material despite his history with the team. He has repeatedly displayed less self control than Rooney or Tomlin will tolerate from anyone being paid less than $102 million.

Besides, doesn’t it seem likely that Whisenhunt poisoned Haley on Roethlisberger and his inability to play well with people who believe in a running game?

As for that rumor about Haley … hey, I’ve joked about him being nutty. But the guys knows offense. And he’s got major ties to the Steelers. All I wanted for Christmas was to trade Arians for a serious OC. Signing Haley would have me grinning like the Cheshire Cat!!!
