Logan Mankins: If Giants think we’re dirty, that’s a compliment

Patriots guard Logan Mankins says that if the Giants’ defensive line is thinking this week about the Patriots’ offensive line taking cheap shots, that’s a good thing.

At his press conference in Indianapolis on Sunday evening, Mankins was told that Giants defensive end Justin Tuck called the Patriots are dirty, and Mankins responded that he’s fine with that label.

“That’s alright,” Mankins said. “We don’t mind being called dirty or cheap or any of that stuff. That’s a compliment to us.”

If Tuck did call the Patriots’ offensive line dirty it hasn’t been widely reported, although Tuck has had some colorful comments about the rest of the Patriots’ offense, and especially Tom Brady.

The way to kill a snake is take off his head,” Tuck said on Friday. “The way to kill an offense as potent as that one is, is making sure you take care of Brady.”

Mankins won’t mind the comparison to a snake. But it will be his job to make sure the Giants don’t take off Brady’s head.

  1. Here’s our second non-story story.

There hasn’t been any real trash talk worthy of a story, so now someone is fabricating something that might evoke an interesting response in order to create a story about that response to something that never happened?

Whoever asked that question should be identified and lose their credentials.

  2. The Pats are a group of knee divers & cut blockers, that’s why in the end thev’ve lost 6 years running (I’m praying for more).

  3. Awwww, Mrs Wright, got a little sand in your camel toe? We know the Giants would never hold, they just fall down on the field and feign injury. They’ve made it an art form (just as the Commish). They’ll need to be at their best pulling that crap trying to slow down the no huddle.

    KSP, THEY WILL.

And hopefully the refs call these cheats for HOLDING, since they get away with it more than anyone.

    ================================
Why don’t you wait till after the game before you start with your lame excuses.

  5. Mr Wright, what’s the problem? As you’ve told us, the Giants are so much better than the Patriots in every way, so why are you whining about the refs?

Is it possible the Giants will get in the Pats head like the Jets did last year?

What is this “head” that yor’re referring to? How can you be in the “Pats head” one year and get swept the next. It’s possible the Jets just outplayed the Patriots last January.

  7. I thought it was the Jets, but maybe it is just New Yorkers in general. Do they ever shut up?
These two NY teams are like chirping baby birds.

  8. Evidently kspec and Mr. Wrong’s mommas didn’t have any offspring with a semblance of intelligence. Nice lack of class on the part of you two and your low-life families.

  9. The funny thing is, I haven’t seen one article or news report where Tuck called the Pats O line dirty!

Judging from the distribution of thumbs up and downs on comments, it looks like the Patriots fans have taken over PFT of late

    __
Of late? Those New England liberal welfare recipients have nothing else to do all day but go to the public library and surf the Internet trying to increase their epeen. Mostly because they are trying to make up for the lack of size of their real peen.

    Mr. Wright 212 = Bozosforall

Anyone else notice that they are the SAME person?

    What a nitwit!

    __
That would make you Mr. Rong, loser Pats fan.

Mr. Wright sounds like a diehard Giants fan, a description that doesn’t describe me in the least (though I am rooting for his team this coming Sunday).

Wow, Giants can’t get a break. Now, they don’t even say anything (at least not that anyone has seen, heard, or read), and it’s being attributed to them?

I would assume at some point this week, we’ll see a “disparaging quote” from Osi or Antrell, but can’t the reporters at least wait until they actually say it?

seriously is there any ofennsive line that Tuck hasn’t called dirty ?
    ——————————————————————–

Yes. As far as anyone can tell, he hasn’t called the Patriots O-Line dirty. Please read the whole story, not just the big words at the top.

  14. If THE G’s call anybody but themselves dirty-they ARE HYOPOCRITES.

The FEW reasons they are where they are is because -THEY PLAY DIRTY and, on D-THEY STRIP the ball (albeit legal, but that’s why their record was what it was-poor tackling when they missed the strip).

Yes-The Gs have become great STRIPPERS, but YOU KNOW THAT.

  15. Do the Giants and their fans really think all this talk is going to help them on Sunday?

And what exactly are they aFRADY of? By the sounds of it, this game is in the bag (wink).

I’m just proud that the Pat’s showed up in Indy considering they don’t have a chance. Right Giant fans?

Kind of like the holding that the Giants got away with on the helmet catch? It’s the playoffs and the refs ALWAYS swallow their whistles in the playoffs. Heck, the Pittsburgh Steelers pretty much owe their XL SB win to them.

  17. No they never stop. Jets fans are still talking even after 8-8. This giant stuff Is somewhat new in the abundance it’s coming but it needs to end. “the gmen were a Ryan Fitzpatrick int away from also being 8-8”. I don’t know what’s worse gmen or listenin to pats fans gloat in that ridiculous accent.lose lose situ. aaaaaaaaah!

    Easily. It’s laughable.

  19. And no one is making excuses. People who watch Patriots games know they get away with holding all game every game. I’ve seen them go weeks at a time without a SINGLE holding penalty.

The guys will still do their thing regardless, but how much pain would they have inflicted on Brady the past two times they’ve faced NE if the refs didn’t allow all the blatant holding lmao

  20. Lackwit buffoons who don’t like the truth when it is spoken. Everyone who watches NE knows they get away with holding, and these pathetic names you’re trying to hurl in my direction are supposed to make me do anything but laugh ha?

    DEAL WITH IT.

  21. The only thing dirty in this Sunday’s game will be the NFL doing all they can to get a championship team playing in London next season, and we all know who that team is.
