Alright, then let’s also talk about this years AFC Championship game with Dennis Pitta wrapped up unable to move in the endzone right next to Evans when he dropped the pass, shall we? Right in front of the ref and wasn’t called and it was beyond blatant and obvious.

I’m not bitter about holds because it happens on every play. Literally every single play you can call someone for a hold. Sometimes they catch them, sometimes they dont and with both examples (yours and mine) they can happen at game changing moments. Just part of the game unfortunately.

Now if every QB could throw his hands up and get PI, PF, & holding calls like Brady can…

I was trying to find a video of the play that actually shows the coverage (tired of never being able to see the coverages). Anyway he said he was in a cover 4 and the catch was made around the hash marks so even if they had a 4 deep zone with Samuel in man coverage he was still in Rodney’s zone so he shares the blame. Also Samuel is notorious for breaking on the ball for the pick but he is not always right and does give up big plays.
I cannot see the play so I really dunno what the coverage was cuz every camera is always on the damn glory boy.
I hate QB’s, those red jersey in practice wearing cannot hit pretty boys.

Harrison wasn’t able to jar the ball loose because after being caught for getting sent HGH before the previous super bowl he wasn’t able to get juiced before the giants game.

On that note, how in the world is someone that took HGH while in the league the best analyst that NBC can come up with. There really isn’t anyone else out there that fans can take somewhat seriously.

The Pats have now been to 2 Super Bowls and have the best record in the NFL since Spy Gate. That is 2 Super Bowls in 5 years vs. 0 Super Bowls in 43 years.

Actually I’m forgetting your consecutive early season Super Bowl wins against the Pats in 2009 and 2010…

How about you wait till the Jets win a title of some kind (AFC EAST, AFC, or SB) before yapping about the Pats.

Rodney Harrison is one of the most beloved players in NYG lore. No fault of his, he actually put on a pretty good hit Tyree just had the heart and a little luck to keep his hands on that ball.

Actually he didn’t. His foot came down out of bounds anyways. So even if he caught the ball it would not have been an interception.

Actually, the honorary captains for that game were players who were on the team for both Super Bowls XXXI and XXXVI, because those games were played 15 and 10 years ago, respectively, from the one next weekend. Harrison wasn’t on those teams.

HAHAHA seriously?! He was good, I won’t deny it but I can EASILY name 3 safeties superior to Harrison off the top of my head: Reed, Weddle, and even though I hate the guy, Polamalu. All 3 are more likely to get in the HoF waaay before Harrison. Harrison was a slightly above average safety who will forever be known best for this play. Or lack thereof.

Im not surprised tyree was samuels man. If you watch the replay of tyrees catch, you can see asante jogging casually towards tyree as Harrison is attempting to stop the catch. If that idiot ran with more urgency, he woulda been there in time to knock the ball out of tyrees hands.

I never liked Rodney’s style of play, and I am a Pats fan. I didnt like him in SD and I didnt like him here. I respected his talent, and what he did for my team but he was always jumping into the pile late and it bothered me. I know its taboo around here to not love every player on your team, but its just how I felt.

As for that play I dont blame him or Samuel. I do blame Samuel for not catching that ball that hit him in the hands on the last drive. I also fault the terrible o line play in that game (while admitting the NYG D line was awesome) and the complete lack of adjustment by the o coordinator in the face of the Giants pass rsuh.

Samuel and Harrison get little blame in my book.

Note to Rodney: Just because Simon Cowell starts a sentence off by saying, “I’m not being rude” – doesn’t mean he isn’t . You threw Samuel under the bus. Nobody cares who’s man it was. Mistakes like that happen all the time. Not knocking the ball off Tryee’s helmet when you have him in the grasp and only have to move your hand up – to secure your teams perfect season and NFL title doesn’t happen every game. Or every lifetime for that matter.

Dropped int by Asante, the helmet catch with Harrison all over the receiver, the scrambling play that should’ve been a sack for a huge loss, the leaping endzone pass…. all these crazy circumstances led to the Giants winning the super bowl. The Giants had everything go their way that night.

Now we have Giants fans and Giants themselves expecting to win this game.
