rex has had some success. coughlin was terrible and needed to be fired. now rex is terrible. i think there’s different ways of accomplishing the same thing. while i don’t think ryan’s way has been truly successful, or will be, he’s on a learning curve and i’m looking forward to seeing how he does.

Just goes to show what depth the Mara family has in evaluating and retaining talent. Coughlin’s head has been on the media and fan base chopping block more times than any coach I can recall. And I’ve been an observer of this game for many, many years. This goes back to his days in Jacksonville as well as New York. The former owner of the Jags realizes now how much money he lost on his investment by firing Coughlin. Says it was his biggest regret. Now that statement covers some ground.
The Mara’s have stayed the course because they refuse to be swayed by carnival atmosphere fanatacism.
I don’t care for Coughlin’s demeanor. Never have.
Who cares? Why would any business care about popularity for popularities sake? They pay for results, and when you foot the bill, nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing else matters but achieving that end.
He can flat out coach.

Zygi Wilf showed Childress the door. It proves to me that he’s a great owner but a marginal football mind at this point in his ownership. My advise. Watch the Mara’s, Kraft’s and Rooney’s of the league. There is much to be learned from observation.
Success has always started from the top.

As a Giants fan, I have speculated as to Coughlin’s fate plenty of times.

I will say two things now. One, while I may not ever learn, there’s a reason I don’t get paid for my football opinions. Two, DON’T EVER LEAVE, COACH!!!

Rex earned all the shots coming his way. Good for Coughlin, he does it the right way. There are methods for success in the NFL, some people get it and some people don’t. Even as a person who never has or ever will play in the NFL, some things are blatantly obvious. Give credit where it is due and let your playing do the talking for you.
