that scholarship offer is on the table ONCE and it has an expiration date, then you’re back in the pool with the other applicants. so he made the right decision, hands down because as you can see, the NFL was still there when he completed his studies.

would have been shortsighted to let that scholarship opportunity pass him by, never to return again, just to squeeze 2 more years out of the front end of his playing career. i figure if he’s still got the talent to stick on a roster, then he didnt lose out on anything

Good for you for being a good player in college at a big-time school, Myron, but now you are just wasting your time.

Best of luck to you, Myron. My bet is that you’ll not only make the roster but will also become a fan fave just for having one of the legendary first names in Steelers’ history. Myron Cope invented the Terrible Towel and was one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved sports announcers.

I admit this made me laugh, but James Harrison graduated from Kent State in 4 years. Not a lot of people graduate college in 4 years. Did you?

BTW- I love Myron Rolle. If he can make the roster and learn from Troy and Ryan Clark and DB coach Carnell Lake he might be a good asset.

Love Rolle, love this signing. Would love to see him tap his college potential and make the team. We need depth at that position, and he was once a promising player as well as an accomplished student.

I gotta say…for someone that scouts said “didn’t care enough about football” when he was in the draft…you would think he would have just given up by now. With that said, if he really did care this much about football, why didn’t he just put the anthropology stuff on hold seeing that will ALWAYS be there, and football is dependent upon you being in your prime physical shape. He probably made a bad choice all things considered.
