I’ve often wondered how the NFL gets away this this.

Stopping someone from working where they want to and bettering themselves is against the law on this side of the world, and many other countries.

If you sign a contract for a length of time you are expected to fulfill your contract. Those are the terms of the agreement that you agreed to , and took the position fully knowing that you have golden handcuffs. At the same time the NFL has a rule that nobody can be denied the opportunity to interview for a head coaching job regardless of contract. In my opinion breaking a contract is more illegal than anything else.

If they get Whitt, then the Raiders MADE out by not hiring Manusky.

Whitt looks like he can develop young talent, especially talent that McKenzie helps spot.

Manusky can take a slightly above average team, and make them slightly below average.

As a Packers fan, I really hope he does not get the job. He’s done a fabulous job and deserves the D-Coord job, but I’d rather McCarthy block this, and see if Capers has another bad season. If he does, fire Capers and make Whitt our D-Coordinator…

The question is:
Is he under contract with Green Bay? If so, both parties may mutually dissolve the contract, or if GB elects to keep him, he should honor his contract.

Seems simple to me.

Also wanted to point out that why is it more than ever teams are blocking other teams.

Its pretty ridiculous that the Raiders have been blocked 4 times already.

He’s going to be a DC sooner or later. His star was definitely brighter after last season, but obviously people in the business still see that he knows his stuff.
