Cam went 1-7.

The combination of stats and wins put up by Dalton is hard to find in a rookie QB. Other rookie QBs have put up bigger numbers (eg. Newton, Peyton Manning), but usually because their teams were bad and they “had” to put up big numbers. And other rookie QBs have had more wins, but usually because they played on teams with dominant defenses and/or running games (Ben, Flacco, Matt Ryan).

For a team to depend on a rookie QB as much as Cinci depended on Dalton and still have a winning record is impressive. Newton is a worthy winner, but a vote for Dalton really isn’t that stupid either.
