Hey, all you Packer haters out there, remember about 12 months ago when Rodgers won another MVP? And you still call him a choker huh? Wow there are a lot of ignorant fans on this site. Brees, Rodgers, and Eli are the class of the NFC, and no one even comes close. So all you whiny Viking, Bears, Lions, and cowgirl fans get over it. Your team either hasn’t won recently, or haven’t won anything!!!! Until then, respect the best!

duece5 says:

So, a FIRST ROUND thrashing, AT HOME, in the playoffs by a 15-1 team, doesn't equal a CHOKE?

Hmmm.........

First time in NFL history that a 15-1 team lost in the first round.

Sorry, but that is a CHOKE!!!!!!!!!!!

Eat it pack fans!!!!!!

I think Brees is great.
But,
Brees played 11 dome games. Road games included Tenn, Tampa, Carolina, and Jacksonville and Green Bay, in week 1, burrr!) Rodgers won head to head. Rodgers lost one game, on the road to a fired up new head coach and a new starting QB that had already played the Pack and which was a team that won their division last year. Brees clearly has a better run game that helps to open up the pass. Brees has a better TE, and WR is possibly a toss-up. Brees has had his system longer than Rodgers. As far as just stats, Brees and Brady broke Marino's record this year, Stafford was close and Rodgers probably would have if it mattered. Brees is great and probably underrated, but the MVP is clearly Rodgers.

Where are all the critics now who thought Rodgers would never make it in the NFL just because he held the ball high coming out of CAL or that he was merely a Tedford system QB (pro offense)? The guy was always unbelievably accurate, had a quick release, and a very strong arm. Even the idiotic Packer fans booed him in training camp.

The reason the quarterback play has never been better is because defenders get fined by God-el if they look at the QB too hard.

I think history will show this season to be a QB aberration.

The non-offseason and flip flopped draft and free agency left many teams unprepared for this season.

Brees had a great year but he and the Saints were playing for records, throwing bombs with very large leads with minutes to go in games and he hardly ever came out of games.
The Saints' crybaby fans probably shouldn't be so quick to point out Matt Flynn's game.

Considering Flynn had a better game against the Lions, in freezing temperatures at Lambeau, than Brees had the next week in his comfy dome.

So if Rodgers "can't be MVP" because of Flynn's game.....certainly Brees can't be MVP either.....

All I can do is laugh at people who say Rodgers is a system QB, because it's a total joke. Obviously everyone who says it hasn't watched Rodgers play. Rodgers with his pin-point accuracy all season long has been astonishing, whether it be the deep post route, or the back shoulder throw he's been amazing.

People may argue that since Matt Flynn had 6 TD's in one game that he's a system QB....The Packers in the off-season were getting offers left and right for this guy, hes been an outstanding backup for a while, but the people who never heard about him just assume he's bad and all of a sudden yell about how Rodgers is a system quarterback.

And lastly, if Rodgers wasn't as good as Drew Brees he wouldn't have received 48 out of 50 votes...Rodgers is MVP for a reason, HE EARNED IT with his astounding accuracy and putting the Packers and their horrible defense on his back for the entire regular season.

What a great 2011 for Aaron Rodgers. I am talking about the whole calendar year. Mr. Rodgers beat the #1 arch rival Chicago Bears (4) times, won (4) playoff games in a row (including Super Bowl 45). Was Super Bowl MVP, NFL MVP and had an overall record in 2011 of 19-1. Thanks for making 2011 my most enjoyable year of watching football. It was truly a pleasure!
