Tom Brady is still a stud QB and a legend, he will be back. I think Eli is the most clutch QB in the game today.
I also think the Colts should keep Peyton. I don’t trust a rookie and I don’t trust Andrew Luck at all. He was supposed to win the Heisman 2 years in a row and basically did not have the type of years that were expected of him. He is going into the NFL, he is unproven and can turn out like a Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell or any other below average QB. You don’t throw away a legend like Peyton, he has many more years that he can win a SB for the Colts.

__
Peyton didn't win the Heisman either...yet he was still the right choice as the top pick. Just sayin'

Congratulations Giants fans. As much as it pains me to say it, your team played a great game. They made all the tackles, and all the catches (I can't believe the catches!) Classic game, and now you've got a 2 time SB MVP on your hands. Unbelievable. Maybe the Pats will get a couple DE's and we'll see you in the big one again in a year or two.

Well done by your team... better you guys than the Jets.

@tatum064:

It's not difficult to credit Eli and the Giants for the win. I already did. They won and we lost
Once again Congrats to the Giants.
Don't think cause 7 or 8 people on here are bitching about this loss that all of NE is the same way. Thats is an all-too-common refrain on this site by the same people over and over and over again.
Some posters on this site measure "FAN" by the amount of vitriol/venom they spew directed at other fans, or by how much they post after a tough loss.
Could not be further from the truth. Personally, I won't be back on here until next year. NFL Season is over. Doesn't mean I love my PATS any less than the next guy.

"Manning made the throw, Brady didn’t"
TRUTH.
You're wrong about the fumbles: the ball didn't bounce anywhere near a Patriot BOTH times Bradshaw coughed it up, believe me I was watching very closely.
Giants did a great job of covering up Bradshaw's mistakes. Hats off to them.
Pats did a great job of forcing the fumbles, but you're right, it just wasn't in the cards for the Pats this year. Getting to the SB with this D was no small accomplishment.
We'll be back, much to the chagrin of many on this site.

2. 95 times out of 100 Welker catches the ball & game almost over for Giants… just that 1 of the 5 times he drops it, he did it on Sunday night
=================
Why is it so difficult to simply credit the Giants for beating the Pats AGAIN?

It was the biggest game and the key moment and Brady and Welker both FAILED.

Manning made the throw, Brady didn't. The Giants even recovered two fumbles the Pats should've had.

It's that kind of game. It just wasn't in the cards for the Pats. Next time, have a few less undrafted free agents and get some receivers and db's that are playmakers.

Bigdaddy...I've been pimpin Eli since the first superbowl. He is the most clutch QB of his era..and definitely one of all time. He is just...clutch..theres no other way to put it. Hes not as smart, not as brilliant, not as capable, but better than all of the wannabes with that are ranked higher than him.

He never backs down, he never backs up. he just keeps going. Did you see the niners game? how many times did he get knocked down??!! Yea he is the best clutch QB of our time, get over the fact that he breathes out of his mouth like a horse. He pwns you.

@bigdaddy44, enforcing rules =/= changing rules

Talking of tight windows, have you ever seen Peyton's throw to Dallas Clark in the 2006 playoff game against the Ravens during the Colts Super Bowl run ?

Every Super Bowl winner has needed luck along their way... just off the top of my head:
Colts - Wayne almost fumbles the ball during last drive against Pats... there were 4-5 Pats around him & somehow it landed back in his hands
Giants - Brett Favre INT
Saints - Brett Favre INT
Giants - Kyle Williams

even to reach the Super Bowl, teams need some luck e.g. Cundiff against Pats in AFC championship game

the margin for error is so small in playoff games...
1. Giants fumbled the ball but somehow it did not land up with the Pats

2. 95 times out of 100 Welker catches the ball & game almost over for Giants... just that 1 of the 5 times he drops it, he did it on Sunday night

Tom Brady is still a stud QB and a legend, he will be back. I think Eli is the most clutch QB in the game today.
I also think the Colts should keep Peyton. I don't trust a rookie and I don't trust Andrew Luck at all. He was supposed to win the Heisman 2 years in a row and basically did not have the type of years that were expected of him. He is going into the NFL, he is unproven and can turn out like a Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell or any other below average QB. You don't throw away a legend like Peyton, he has many more years that he can win a SB for the Colts.

Eli Manning has proven himself to be one of the true greatest clutch quarterbacks of all time.
The bigger the stage, the bigger the moment, the better he gets. He is better than the pre-Moss/Gisele Brady ever was. He leads his team to touchdowns, not 40+ yard field goals to win
games. He is better than the post Polian-Fischer rule changes Peyton was (They couldn't beat
the Pats, so they changed the rules to stop them). He hits his receivers in the tightest of windows in the toughest situations. His teammates BELIEVE he is going to lead him to victory. If you don't think that is important, look what belief did for Tebow and the Broncos with little skill at QB. It's not Brady, Peyton, Rodgers or Brees that is the choice to build a franchise around today - It's Eli.
