Back in December, we pointed out that B.C. Lions offensive lineman Jovan Olafioye had been generating plenty of interest at the NFL level.
He has now made his choice.
After working out for or visiting eight teams since the 2011 NFL season ended and pursuit from at least six others, Olafioye has picked the Rams, according to Howard Balzer of 101espn.com.
The Rams definitely have a need on the offensive line, especially with right tackle Jason Smith soon facing a take-a-pay-cut-or-take-a-hike ultimatum and the offensive line otherwise not as good as it needs to be.
At least the equipment manager will be able to successfully place “Olafioye” on the back of a jersey, given the expertise developed via the presence of players on the roster like James Laurinaitis, Brady Poppinga, and Michael Hoomanawanui.

Your reaching with that last paragraph.
Good pick-up. Could be a sign that the Rams might stick with Saffold at LT and take Blackmon instead of Kalil
Crickets
This is my favorite CFL player of all time!!
Ya there were crickets when Miami signed Cameron Wake of the CFL’s BC Lions.
How’s those crickets sounding now?
@chrisdavidgarcia
That paragraph is not reaching at all. They also could have added names to that least such as Tshimanga “Tim” Biakabutuka, Nate Hobgood-Chittick, Brandon Manumaleuna, etc. Those are just a few examples.
They have a history of going for players with long names, and/or really weird names.
Hoomanawanui is one of my favorite player names, although I am also fond of Bear Pascoe and Mister Alexander.
Judging by the number of posts on this thread those crickets still sound like crickets.

Well judging by you commenting twice it must mean the “crickets” are the most exciting part of your day
Pretty psyched about this pick up.
My favorite rap song is Mr.Bobdobolina.
