APWe mostly knew how the first round of the 2012 NFL draft would look already, but it’s worth noting the NFL made the first round official on Tuesday.
Note that two spots still remain subject to a coin flip.
Yep, it’s officially draft season. And free agent season. And the “offseason” but that’s not really how we treat it at PFT.
1. Indianapolis Colts
2. St. Louis Rams
3. Minnesota Vikings
4. Cleveland Browns
5. Tampa Bay Buccanneers
6. Washington Redskins
7. Jacksonville Jaguars
8/9. Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers
10. Buffalo Bills
11/12. Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks
13. Arizona Cardinals
14. Dallas Cowboys
15. Philadelphia Eagles
16. New York Jets
17. Cincinnati Bengals (Acquired from Oakland)
18. San Diego Chargers

Channel Finder
The Colts will draft Luck and give Peyton his walking papers.
“Note that two spots still remain subject to a coin flip.”
In other words, it isn’t official yet.
Giants ruined their draft position by going on that winning streak
But But But. Where’s Oakland? Oh Wait…..
and The Philadelphia Eagles select…….Adolpho Flop 6′-0″, 210# Defensive End from Noware state.
Not official or correct. Cleveland has the 22nd pick.
22. Cleveland Browns
So you’re telling me the Jets didn’t win the Super Bowl, Rex Ryan motivated the wrong New York team thanks a lot fat ass…..
Anybody else notice that the Patriots ALWAYS have two first rounders?
Refresh my memory; how did New England get New Orlean’s first rounder. These guys seem to have 2 firsts and/or a ton of picks every year.
How does it get decided between #11 and #12 and when???
heh pats have two 1st rounders again.. Interesting note about the Bengals having two mid round picks also. If they can hit on both picks, look out! An The Panthers have an early round pick.. I could really see them doing well next year, can’t forget about the fact that arguably their two best defensive players didn’t play a single snap all season. Should be a really exciting off season.
P.S Texans at 26th makes me happy.
Atlanta doesn’t have a first round pick, bud.
Steelers Draft Better Look Like this:
1. OG
2. OT
3. NT
4. CB
5. OG
6. OT
7. CB
rams should draft Justin blackmon and not matt kalil. I think that by signing Jovan Olafioye says we’re going with him anyway.
OK so this actualllt ISN’T the “Official” first round. Once they get the coin flip results Dolphins and panthers, THEN it will be the “official” order.
Nothing better than seeing your team with the 32nd pick!!!
As a Pats fan I’m hoping BB uses both first round picks on guys who can come in and contribute NOW!
Can we just throw away the redskins picks? They don’t know how to develop young players… and they’ll fill their roster with over the hill free agents… way to go snyder
Luck to the Colts
Blackmon to the Rams
Griffin to the Browns
Those picks seem like a lock right now.
When is the coin flip? The Panthers need the 8 as opposed to the 9 spot.
What order is the 5th round? (sigh)
Raider Fan
So L.A. is picking 2nd or 3rd & London is picking 7th.
Then I am officially the first to correct the NFL.
Cleveland has pick 22.
its amazing to see the giants at pick 32.. best pick in the draft..
If Howie Roseman made his way to GM by being an accountant and numbers guy tell me what was he using when he drafted a 27 year old rookie a year after drafting a DE with a T-Rex wingspan (Graham) instead of a Pterodactyl (JPP)?

With the first pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts have decided to trade their pick to the Minnesota Vikings…

——————————-
Patriots traded 28th overall pick last year to N.O. for their 1st in 2012. Saints to Mark Ingram.
As it stands, the Patriots have two 1sts and two 2nds (Raiders plus their own) but no 5th, 6th or 7th round picks. As usual, they’ll trade down for additional picks with one of those selections.
They do the coin flips each year at the NFL Combine
@alexmcclellan
Did you just crawl out of the rock? Guess you haven’t paid attention to the last 2 years of drafting by Skins.
The Snyder bashing is getting old.
For those asking about the trades:
Cincy – Carson Palmer
Browns – Julio Jones
Pats – Mark Ingram
The Patriots and Ravens should not be allowed in the entire draft for the main reason… they are the 2 worst franchises in the league. Cheaters, Convicts and overall scumbags, That’s my take.
The question I have for the Patriots brain trust is, why do they have so many holes on their roster (no corners, no speed at wide receiver, etc.) when they constantly trade down for more picks? Is it possible that they need to learn that getting two middling fifth round guys is sometimes not as smart as one outstanding third round guy?
Wanna bet the Buffalo Bills screw up there pick again?
Hopefully the Vikings will draft Kalil, unless the Rams fall in love with either Kalil or Blackmon and don’t trade out of their spot at No. 2, the Vikings will be in a position to hold any of the teams in need of a quarterback (Cleveland, Washington, Miami or Seattle) hostage for a slew of draft picks, which could make their phone lines burn heading into their pick. But, as it stands now, Kalil makes the most sense for a young core offense to build to the future.
With the second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft via a trade with St. Louis the Washington Redskins select Quarterback Robert Griffin III from Baylor University.
With the 32nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins select…
With the 32nd pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins select…
Well, once Washington signs Peyton Manning, they can trade down from 6, get a right tackle, safety, corner, and they’re in business….Hail!!!
LOL @ Atlanta
The Pats always seem to have two first round picks, and they always seem to blow them or trade them for lesser players.

Boom…Roasted…Great Post…Simple and sweet..
How are you the first to correct the NFL when it clearly shows Browns have 22nd pick?
So wierd that the Cowboys have the 14th pick and the Giants have the 32nd.
They were both 8-7 playing for the NFC East crown like a month ago.
This just goes to show, a team should never quit in this league.
I’m looking right at you Santonio.
Patriots with multiple first round picks. What else is new…?

hail hail black n urine
Its about time the Pats quit planning for the 2049 draft when robots will take the place of humans and start picking some pass rushers, dbs, rbs, wrs, basically everything but a QB.
I recall the coin flip being done at the ownersmeeting once in a while. The owners’ rarely go to the combine.
Dolphins assuming they can land Manning or Flynn in free agency.
1. Johnathon Martin, OT, Stanford
2. Kelechi Osemele, G, Iowa State
3. Sean Spence, OLB, Miami
4. Ladarius Green, TE, Louisiana-Lafayette
5. A.J. Jenkins, WR, Illinois
6. Sent to the Saints in the Reggie Bush trade
7. Foswhitt Whittaker, RB, Texas
I can hear someone in the Giants draft room “Yeah, we got the last pick. You saw it, keep moving.”
Hopefully the Pats out-think themselves again and don’t take the 3-4 DE my Packers despirately need.
Any word if the Pats plan to run a mix of 3-4/4-3 again like they did this year or if they’re going to be more committed to one allignment?
Ummm… How is this list any more ‘official’ than it was last week? The following ties still havent been slotted yet.
8/9. Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers
11/12. Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks
Oops, I almost forgot, the Pats will get the 31st pick and not the 32nd. Oh well, i guess the underdog Giants will have to settlet for the dead last pick in the 2012 draft…
I must say it is weird seeing Detroit pick 23rd for the first time in over a decade. But as a Lions fan that is a “good weird”!
GO LIONS!

And what do you have to show for it, Goobs? How many playoff appearances do you have in the last two years?
Goobs,
The fangirlism of Deadskin fans toward Danny Boy Snyder is getting old.
Hey Cleveland, want RGIII? Give us those two 1st round draft picks and others.
Sincerely,
Da Rams.
Out of the 32 players taken in the first round
12 will be busts
8 will be decent
6 will be good
3 will be a waste of talent
and last 3 will be great.
Good luck.
“And the “offseason” but that’s not really how we treat it at PFT.”
Really?
Because every year at this time, I click on your “Draft>Draft Order Chart” menu and again this year, PFT has failed to upgrade that menu. Most NFL fans have been looking at the draft for the last month. And this is an NBC backed blog…?
Oh so sweet having the 32nd pick. Go Big Blue!
As a Crimson Tide fan, it’s great to see Trent Richardson among the projected top draft picks. But then I see where he might end up … sigh.
Will be praying for you on draft day, Trent.
@dexterismyhero …
Do you ever think about your own team or are you just here to rag on the Steelers?
Might as well move Skins up to #2 cause that’s where we’re picking.

Well I hope the Buccaneers at least get one of the six that will be good or three that will be great…although I think they will get one of the three that are a waste or 12 that are busts, just like their last six to eight drafts or so. Really, haven’t had a good draft since when they landed Sapp and Brooks, so even longer. Ugh. The life of a Buccs fan. Good to see Detroit and Houston picking so far down. I expect to see it again next year, personally I hope they match up in the Superbowl. Would be one heck of a game to watch. I mean come on, Arian Foster, Megatron, AJ, Stafford, Daniels, both defensive lines, Houston’s O-line, etc. I’m just saying. I think that would be a great Super Bowl. JMO
I dare the Rams to draft RGIII. Hail!
With their top pick in the 5th round the Oakland Raiders select…
Wait… The Patriots only have 4 picks in the first two rounds?
“deviantfate says:

Where to start…
“Oh Wait” has only been used about 1,456,977 times on PFT. Nice original thought.
If you bothered to pay attention to Oakland’s drafting in the past, you would notice that the 1st round picks don’t fare too well. NOT having a first rounder is almost a +. Our late round picks work out much better (Denarius Moore, Michael Bush and Tyvon Branch come to mind).
I will take my chances with Carson Palmer after he goes through an entire training camp with this team over an unknown rookie draft pick any day.

Sorry Rams fans! The Browns will select Morris Claibourne at #4. Don’t believe the hype
Signed: Tom Heckert
How many more times is the Rams going to have the 2nd pick?
Is there by any chance a Jets, Eagles, Cowboys, Packers, 49ers or Patriots fan around that can give me a break down and explain to me why the Giants have the last pick? You guys always seem to know so much more than me.
Wanna bet the Buffalo Bills screw up there pick again?

Oh, who knows. Your DE’s are safe, they’ll trade down for picks in 2073 and pick 3-4 DB’s who can’t play to save their lives. They will then be released in training camp and BB will hire guys from UPS and Burger King to play defense, yet somehow go 12-4. Pats will then make it to the Superbowl and lose and everyone will tell us that they will never win without cameras and laugh like it’s a new joke. Then we’ll do it all again next year.
Okay. I honestly don’t understand something and I could use the help of someone who is smarter than I am. Since the Jets and the Eagles both wound up at 8 – 8, and the Eagles beat the Jets, why wouldn’t the Jets be picking ahead of the Eagles at 15? Thanks to anyone for your help.
The Patsies second 1st round pick moved up one entire spot from 32 to 31! Maybe now they will stop whining?

Did you just have a sudden urge today to beat on a hornet’s nest and see what would happen? You really don’t need to egg on the haters.
But seriously … I just don’t get your comment. The Pats and Ravens may be our nemeses, but the Patriots are one of the best-run franchises in professional sports. And Ozzie is a player-personnel phenom. Every team in the league has its share of problem players–including us. Neither of those franchises has done anything to be excluded from the draft. Your take doesn’t make a lick of sense.

Head-to-head isn’t a tiebreaker. It is strength of schedule. The team with the easier SoS gets the earlier pick.
See you on day two Raiders and Saints fans!
Hey Bill trade up and get some studs on defense..that’s the only reason that Ely won – cant stop anyone..no more 6th rd wonders!
Let’s see how Belichick wastes his draft picks this year…
Belichick has to know that with just a few more competent defenders he’d have at least two more rings. Eventually he’ll pull the trigger on all these draft picks. Also, I assume the Tedy Bruschi cloning facility will come on line any day now.
Steelers draft will look something Like this:
1st pk-NT
2nd rd- OL
3rd rd- CB
4th rd-MLB
5th rd-OL
6 th rd- DL
7th rd- best avialable
the coin flip for the 11th and 12th spot took place just about 3 weeks ago. KC taking the 11th and SEA with the 12th. Keep up, GgreggGGgGg
With the second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St.Louis Rams….oh wait it’s a trade…..rams receive 3 lineman from Cleveland and a 4 round pick in the 2045 draft. I’m tired of this every single yr that the Rams (My favorite team) are drafting 1 or 2 in the draft. We draft a guy who turns out to be no good or we trade down for more nobody’s. Justin Blackmon is a weapon Sam Bradford needs so draft him and go out in free agency and get some lineman who will block!!!
