Brady is one of the best tacticians to play the game. Certainly the QB gets alot of credit in any win. But so does the team. Listen... football is won in the trenches. On the line. There were scores of missed assignments Sunday night. Missed blocks.... missed tackles... Blame? It should for the most part go to the guys who are up front. That is where the game is won... or lost. Its all about fundamentals. Most assume that whatever happens up front is just action that goes on in support of the backfield. Actually, its what allows the backfield to function. Without it, you loose regardless of well you can run or throw or catch.

Yall make me laugh. The patsies lost. It was a good game. Yall can say that if walker had caught that catch yall would have won. I dont believe it as the catch changes everything. Nothing in life is definate cept death and taxes.. I'm not saying yall would have still lost, if he caught it, I dont know.I believe that throw was a lil off and walker didnt get his hands on the meat of the ball..
Now for Gronk, he had a fine year. then got hurt. His ankle. Dont understand high ankle injuries but he couldnt move well on the field. But he sure as hell moved well on the dance floor!.Hmmmm, I thot he got paid to play football, not dance. hmmmm
So how hurt was he?
And, I dont remember seeing 1 grats from a pats fan. hmmmmmmmm

So not only does Brady have to win all FIVE Super Bowls he played in, but he has to have record breaking stats in them, too. Bear in mind, Montana had a cream puff division for a decade. They even had one fewer team in that division compared to the rest of the divisions (look it up.) Also, Montana played before free agency, so he had the same core talent around him for years. Picture Brady with Moss for 10 years, or not having to lose Branch or Givens to free agency immediately following back to back championships. Finally, the 49ers cheated the salary cap and got busted! Look that up too, BOZO!

I guess the obvious question for all the Pats apologists is…If the Spygate cheating did not help why did they bother doing it? When Brady wins a SB by actually leading his team to a TD and not depending on Vinatieri to kick a 48/42 yd FG to win a pre Spygate SB then we’ll talk Montana etc. OK. Look at his stats in the wins. the only one that was anything special was Carolina.

And Jake Delhomme STILL outplayed him.

Kevinmchale: Think this through also.

1) they didn’t have 90 minutes of tape to watch as a half is only 30 minutes to start with.

2) You still wouldn’t have 30 minutes of tape to watch as I an sure in that 30 minutes the Patriots had the ball for a few offensive plays to cut into it.

3) If you were going to do it wouldn’t you process the film as it became available rather then waiting till half time.

—————————————————————-

Nah not owned.

1) Matt Walsh blatantly stated the tapes never left his possession(no reason to lie in his interview with the league as he had immunity)

2) They would have to use tons of tapes in the same game in order to do this real time, which didn’t happen as we got to watch tapes of Full games of what was created(love the part where Herm Edwards waves to the camera)

3) Avg possession in a half, 10-20 minutes, someone would have to watch the entire play, account for blocking scheme, receivers routes, audibles, and decode the multiple signals sent in at the same time. (they dont send signal 1 at a time, that’d be stupid since people have tried to steal signs forever in all sports)

4) multiple coaches admitted the practice. (Jimmy Johnson, etc)

Don’t let any facts get in your way. There’s a reason the memo was sent to the entire league and the patriots not just immediately fined. The fact there record is better post spy gate while revamping an entire roster speaks to your stupidity. The playoff losses are attributable to scheme and flawed teams.

__
The only stupid ass here is you, "kid". The Pats' POST SEASON record is all that matters...not their creampuff regular season schedule results. And that postseason record SUCKS...just like you do.

Actually 157 is more than 145. I think. And back then there was no "Brady Rule" forbiding hitting the QB. And no safeties because you are afraid to get hit or too immobile to get out of the pocket. And I seem to remember a TD pass to some guy named John Taylor in another. Not wimping out and letting the keeker (twice) do the hard work. Because if you don't think a 40+ yd FG with the SB on the line is tough ask S Norwood.

Oops, I forgot my lesson for today. It is my thinking that the hardest pass to catch is one thrown behind a receiver crossing the field. They simply can't (mentally) reach back far enough to account for their progress past the ball, and the reaching across their body backwards just makes it even harder. Those catches are probably harder than the beautiful Manningham-types.

OK, here we go. First, I am a 50 year Steeler fan, so, I know nothing. Second, I've watched NFL live and TV all those years, this to confirm I know nothing. Third, while he is an excellent coach, I have no time for Belli.... Lastly, I just want to comment and see it in print.

I have seen a picture (photo, image) of the Manningham catch that was snapped with the ball inches from his fingers with a Patriot hand already on his shoulder. Thus, catch or no catch, there was definitely interference. (not called).

Next, regarding Brady. Anyone with at least a pea brain knows he is excellent. The best ever is a joke. Once his fabulous protection breaks down or is not perfect, he becomes subject to all the problems any quarterback faces. i.g. the safety was a bad moment. After pressure increased, his passes were not like the perfect TD throw against the ONE man rush.

To the qb rater, sorry, it is Unitas, Graham, Montana and whoever after them.

Finally, Collingsworth made a blunder of huge proportions when he criticized a WR for "fading" on his routes to cause completions out of bounds. They showed a head-on re-run that proved conclusively that he "faded" only to be able to catch the pass, a qb problem.

Thanks for reading.

Finally, Collingsworth made a blunder of huge proportions when he criticized a WR for “fading” on his routes to cause completions out of bounds. They showed a head-on re-run that proved conclusively that he “faded” only to be able to catch the pass, a qb problem.

Thanks for reading.

Nah not owned.

1) Matt Walsh blatantly stated the tapes never left his possession(no reason to lie in his interview with the league as he had immunity)

2) They would have to use tons of tapes in the same game in order to do this real time, which didn't happen as we got to watch tapes of Full games of what was created(love the part where Herm Edwards waves to the camera)

3) Avg possession in a half, 10-20 minutes, someone would have to watch the entire play, account for blocking scheme, receivers routes, audibles, and decode the multiple signals sent in at the same time. (they dont send signal 1 at a time, that'd be stupid since people have tried to steal signs forever in all sports)

4) multiple coaches admitted the practice. (Jimmy Johnson, etc)

Don't let any facts get in your way. There's a reason the memo was sent to the entire league and the patriots not just immediately fined. The fact there record is better post spy gate while revamping an entire roster speaks to your stupidity. The playoff losses are attributable to scheme and flawed teams.

You honestly think that Otto Graham, Johnny Unitas, and Bart Starr (3 guys I can guarantee you’ve never seen play) are better than Tom Brady? Ok, buddy.

I don't get it. The Patriots weren't better than the Giants. It was an evenly matched game that either team could have won and it came down to the end. The Giants made all the plays. Covering their fumbles, intercepting Brady, and the big play to Manningham. The Patriots tried to turn the tide and almost did at 17-9, but it wasn't enough.

Tom Brady brought a team with the 31st rank defense to the Super Bowl after a 13-3 season going on a 10 game winning streak. Going into the game I don't think anyone would have thought Brady would break a consecutive completion record with that Giants D-line. Anyone who wants to blame Brady or Welker or anyone else can go ahead, but the Patriots over acheived as it is and with Gronk (arguably their best player) hurt they really played a great game considering. It could have been a blowout for the Giants if the Patriots D didn't play so well.

Brady deserves allot of credit for being fantastic at situational football.
The situation he usually found himself in when he was winning super bowls was great field position and extra possessions because the pats defense were allowed to commit PI to generate turn overs.

Outside of that situation he has shown that he can manage an offence very well. He reads offenses very well, throws short passes very well. But. He has shown that when an important game depends on him, he will fail.

That's who he is. The early superbowls never depended on him.

Well he got too much credit when they were winning Super Bowls too. Everyone forgets that Brady was more of a game manager when he won his 3 Superbowls. Only over the past 5 years has he been putting up great numbers.

His defense has held opponents to 16 ppg average in his playoff wins, and 22 ppg in playoff losses.

Same thing with Eli: 15 ppg allowed in playoff wins, 22 ppg in playoff losses.

Same thing with Peyton: 17 ppg allowed in playoff wins, 23 ppg in playoff losses

The key to being a “Clutch” QB is getting on a team that plays great defense in the postseason more often than the other guys’ defense.

QB’s get too much credit and blame for postseason success

I want to see the stat..

First down after greater than a 3rd and 10 handed to Brady by the Refs by way of illegal contact penalty. I know in Ravens games he has gotten a bunch of critical calls. Just as a few plays here are there makes a difference in a close game, so do a couple of ref calls. Like Coughlin said, we could move the ball but couldn't stop the key penalties against us.

The reason why Brady receives so much animosity versus Farve, or Manning, or Breeze is because he wins games by either spygate or the refs. No team fears Brady like they do Aaron Rogers - especially now. He throws a deep ball like Sanchez. Yet despite all that, the rest of the league is just fed up with the ridiculous homage to Brady.
He simply is not that great. The reason the Patriots were in the Superbowl at all was Gronkowski, Welker and the play of their Offensive and Defensive Lines - especially the Oline.
