If Peyton Manning wants to join the Cardinals, he would find a familiar face there.

The Cardinals hired former Colts quarterbacks coach Frank Reich Wednesday, but they are making him a wide receivers coach. John McNulty is moving from receivers coach to quarterbacks coach in Arizona.

Reich was Manning’s quarterbacks coach for two seasons in Indianapolis. He was switched to receivers coach with the Colts in 2011.

It’s hard to imagine the Cardinals making a run at Manning because of timing. They have to pay Kevin Kolb a big roster bonus on March 17. It’s hard to imagine them coming to agreement with Manning on a deal before then, and the team has indicated it plans to bring Kolb back.
