you better be getting an Andrew Luck quality type player if you are giving up Joe Thomas and a first rounder (4th pick overall) for a QB. Its the original first rounder that goes when you sign a franchised player.

Here’s a senario for you. Browns pick up Trent Richardson with a traded down draft pick. (Potential Peterson talent) Jabaal Sheard is showing signs of developing into Jared Allen talent. As the team with an insane amount of cap room pull in Peyton Manning. With the second 1st rounder of the Browns addressing our O line hole, and finally grabbing a good free agent WR.

Better times are ahead. I fully trust Holmgren to turn this around. He’s done it twice, he knows what to do. That being said, he must know the QB position needs to be addressed. I don’t see Colt McCoy as the answer, but apparently Mike does so i do trust that (you do see him as the answer right Mike??)

I would like to see them pursue Matt Flynn in the offseason and even draft another QB prospect that catches Holmgrens eye. Hopefully Mike is involved at some level in QB development – he clearly has a knack for it (Young, Favre, Hasselbeck).

Then after that i’m sure Brett called a wrangler round table meeting in the locker room and said “Lets put the women and children to bed and go looking for f*&^in dinner”

That Sidney Rice catch on fourth down to tie it up and send it to over time is PRICELESS.

Remember Longwell missing the extra point earlier in the game? That Rice catch would have been the gamewinner rather than sending it to OT where they eventually lost. They win that game and they play New Orleans at home instead of on the road and they probably win that game. Then Chilly is a Super Bowl coach and he would still be here.

Great coach. No way. Bad? Hardly. Just because fans and media don’t like a guy doesn’t mean he can’t coach the game of football. I guarantee Holmgren knows football and if he thinks a guy can coach then that is the end of it.

Most will tell you he takes lots of time to help them and runs “coaching camps” for the MN high school coaches all out of his pocket. He’s a very charitable coach… and a valuable asset to the community.

Highest paid player is a future HOFer who in a down year still made pro bowl in Joe t. I agree right side is awful but this is holgreen make or break year. Ravens will finish last in division mark my word that d is on its old last leg.

The Vikings got to the NFC championship IN SPITE of him, not because of him. He’s stubborn, arrogant, and completely clueless when it comes to personnel. He is hell bent on making players fit HIS system, not making the most of a players talents and adjusting to use them. ’09 was more about Favre playing out of his mind than anything else. Multiple times during the year you’d see the two of them arguing on the sidelines because of Chilly’s insistence on following the plays and not wanting Favre to improvise. Look at the game in Chicago that year. I still firmly believe that the first half of that game was done Chilly’s way, and the 2nd half Favre said “screw it” and did it his way. the difference? Zero points in the 1st half, and 30 in the 2nd half. Good luck Cleveland, you’re gonna need it.

Honestly, aside from a freak day by Anderson against the Bengals a few years ago, I have not witnessed a decent offense from the Browns since Bernie Kosar and the gang in 1986 or so. It’s time to close the “Factory of Sadness” once and for all!

I will say this though- there is no better offense for the Colt McCoy skill set than the one he is going to run… if he can get the passes out ofcourse…
