I believe the prices are still lower than comparable seats in Chicago, Detroit, and East Dakota. And you get to see a better product.
Waggs12, sorry but you can't just erase the early Lombardi Packer championships or any of the others just because you want to. They're in the record book and are legitimate. And Rodgers and company will probably be adding one or two more before we get to 2020. Unless the Mayans were right, of course - in which case, we'll have bigger things (or nothing) to worry about.

In 2007, what turned out to be Brett Favre's last season as a Packer, I was able to buy a season ticket for $500. I went to every game and enjoyed a 13-3 season. I didn't get tickets to the playoffs, but I was quite happy with going to every home game. $500 was face-value of the tickets, in the bowl, on the Packer sideline, around the 20 yard line, about half-way up. Y'all can make fun of our stock, our team, and our cheesehead hats. But we've got a good team that will be making the playoffs for years to come.

Most everyone here knows me as a Viking fan but I must agree with the statement that the Packers do in fact put on a pretty good team on the field. However – its the intolerable Packer fanbase that makes other fanbases look down on them. If only the fanbase were just as classy as the organization then maybe, just maybe, i could fully respect the group as a whole.
---------------------------------------------

Whenever I read stuff like this I just shrug my shoulders knowing full-well that jealousy breeds contempt. Good luck with that.

I have no problem with the Packers raising ticket prices. I've thought for awhile the tickets are too cheap. There are folks who have huge blocks of tickets, 10 tickets...20 tickets. They keep a few for themselves and then dump the rest to brokers or on the ticket broker sites. I'd rather the ticket money go to the Packers than go to Marge from Appleton. Each year there are more and more opposing fans in the stadium from people dumping their tickets. There were at least a ton Giant fans there for the playoff game.

There are thousands of people still on the season ticket waiting list. If a few people get disgusted at the increased ticket prices there are a whole bunch of peopl who would be glad to pay the extra money.

last time I checked the Packers have a league leading 13 NFL championships, which includes 5 trips to the superbowl with 4 wins and 1 loss…. next time do some research before opening your FIB mouth and quit talking about your 1 superbowl win as if it just happened. Us real football fans are sick of hearing about the ’85 bears every single year!

——————

If I hear “13 world championships” one more time, I’m going to puke. The Packers have 4 Super Bowl wins, which they should be proud of, but the other 9 “championships” are like dreaming that you dated a supermodel. It seems nice, but it doesn’ count.

The champion was the team with the best record during the season, determined by winning percentage, with ties omitted. This sometimes led to very odd results, as teams played anywhere from six to twenty league games in a season, and not all teams played the same number of games or against league talent. Teams would play against college teams or amateur teams instead of professional teams.

===================================

I hate to correct you, but the other 9 count, by your own standards they count. the years they won the 9 championships, they had the best record. Please dont open your mouth unless you know what your talking about.... silly peoples from illinois...

The Packer organization does put a pretty good product on the field, so its hard to fault them for this.

In fact, the Packer players in general are all pretty classy. Their fans, however, are an obnoxious, detestable lot.

The Packers organization should just fold. What they won ONE championship? Still. Put that entire state out its misery. Wisconsin doesn’t exist outside of football season. Seriously, how many people, that aren’t football fans, know Green Bay is in Wisconsin?

Just end it.

The Packers organization should just fold. What they won ONE championship? Still. Put that entire state out its misery. Wisconsin doesn’t exist outside of football season. Seriously, how many people, that aren’t football fans, know Green Bay is in Wisconsin?

Just end it.

The Packer organization does put a pretty good product on the field, so its hard to fault them for this.

In fact, the Packer players in general are all pretty classy. Their fans, however, are an obnoxious, detestable lot.
——-
Most everyone here knows me as a Viking fan but I must agree with the statement that the Packers do in fact put on a pretty good team on the field. However – its the intolerable Packer fanbase that makes other fanbases look down on them. If only the fanbase were just as classy as the organization then maybe, just maybe, i could fully respect the group as a whole.

Coming from Vikings fans that doesn't mean a whole lot. Been to your stadium and your fanbase does represent the product that is on the field.

A couple of years ago, Green Bay radio station WIXX (the flagship Packers broadcaster) emailed listeners a survey that asked them to select from several options the one change they would make to the station to make it more "workplace-friendly."

I wrote back that it was a loaded question because 100% of the respondents would choose one particular answer. One member of the morning on-air team derided my attitude and claimed it was impossible to devise a question whereby ALL of the survey takers would give the same answer.

So I emailed them back during a commercial break and said, "Okay, here goes: Ask all of the 74,000+ fans packed tightly into the bench-type bleachers what one change they would make to Jennifer Lopez to make her more 'Lambeau-friendly.'"

"Murphy & Maino" of the morning team were laughing so hard when they returned from the break that they couldn't speak for perhaps three minutes while a confused intern attempted to fill the dead air with her patter.

Yours truly blew the smoke off of his righthand index finger and went back to playing pocket pool.

bearsrule I know it is hard for you but you can leave 1985 anytime now. how sweet for the pack to win the halas trophy at the toilet bowl last year on the way to the 4th SB and 13th title overall. bears tickets probably still cost more to watch a game in a stadium that looks like something i take a dump in. pack tix have always been in the middle of the league or lower. most of the people that bought stock are not ticket holders nor do people that actually live here in green bay wear cheeseheads anymore. and if everything about Wisconsin sucks why did the cubs hire a brewers coach and why did the bears want one of our front office people for the GM job. anyway stay classy and feel free to come here like all the other FIBS and spend your money up north or Door County aka Illinois' vacation getaway.

Still wouldn't stop Packer fans from heading toward the door half way through the fourth quarter when getting their butt kicked. I know, just trying to beat the traffic
