REALLY? you guys are actually upset/making fun of a teams hiring of a LB Coach and an ASSISTANT SPECIAL TEAMS COACH? Most of us cant name or care about all the LB coaches and assistant sp teams coaches in the league! Cmon man, wise up!

@lumpinyour – truer words have never been spoken. The people that criticize coaching moves and player transactions have no clue on what happens with NFL teams. I know this because I’m a part-time (Game Day) employee, chain crew member of an NFL team. I also work as an official during their training camp and practices. From what I’ve seen – if I were an NFL player I would grab as much money as possible as soon as I could. It’s a cut-throat business.

Johnny Holland coached the Texans LB’s in 2009 & 2010. He played high school ball 45 min south of College Station down in Hempstead. He played his college ball at Texas A&M and was a legend there. So he and the Head Coach Allen have A&M as their common denominator

Today’s hiring announcements bring the rating to an 8 out of 10 for the new staff now that we have Hoffmans’ replacement in Burns! Two more ( DL & DB) good hires gets us to a 9/10! Not bad for a rookie head coach! I hope I am wrong about Hoffman but how do you lose a division by getting not one but TWO field goals blocked in the same game?!?!

The Raiders continue to hire coaches who are experienced but not house-hold names, I really like and respect that… As we have seen bringing in former players we all loved to coach doesnt work . IE : Art Shell, Jackie Slater, Greg Biekert, Rod Woodson, Willie Brown, Freddie Biletnikoff … Im sure there are some im forgetting as well.
