Walden pleads no contest to domestic disturbance charge

E. Waldenmug

Packers linebacker Eric Walden pleaded no contest on Friday to a domestic disturbance charge stemming from a December incident.

Paul Srubas of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Walden got a one-year deferred judgment in the case. He was originally arrested on a felony charge, but it was downgraded to a misdemeanor.

The news doesn’t come at a great time for Walden. He’s set to be a free agent and it’s possible he could be subject to league punishment. Walden started 15 games for the Packers in 2011, but didn’t make much of an impact.

He was good for us in ’10 but after this, its obvious he’s not worth it. Let him walk.

Typical Packer, this organization has been full of losers, including the racist Vince Lombardi.

If you plead No Contest when it was originally a felony, doesn’t this imply a Plea Bargain was struck?

I only ask because your boss just seems to LOVE talking about such things. :)

To all Packer fans I apologized for having a troll aka Steeler Hypocrite talk trash about Vince Lombardi. I read a biography of Lombardi and he was a great person and mentor.

Sconies don’t treat domestic abuse as a felony…..just a “way of life”.

    steelerhypocrite,
We can’t all have fine upstanding citizens like Pig Ben.

Btw, that was sarcasm. When you get up off of your little sister ask her what it means.

Hate to say it, but he won’t be on the packers next year. Teddy has seen enough.

Have someone read you a book on Vince and you’ll know the last thing the man was is a racist. He was mistaken for a black man in the south because of his deep tan,,he would not have any kind of racism on his team whatsoever, not one bit.GFY

My favorite part was watching the news video of him in court. Every NFL player has ridiculous 3 piece suits that they wear every Sunday morning going from the hotel to the stadium…….yet when it’s court time, this fool shows up in a collared shirt with baggy jeans hanging off his ass……I feel confident that 90% of the NFL would be in jail if they didn’t play pro football. Idiots.

Lombardi, who had a zero tolerance policy towards racism, responded by warning his team that if any player exhibited prejudice, in any manner, then that player would be thrown off the team. Lombardi, who was vehemently opposed to Jim Crow discrimination, let it be known to all Green Bay establishments that if they did not accommodate his black players equally as well as his white players, then that business would be off-limits to the entire team.[114] Before the start of the 1960 regular season, he instituted a policy that the Packers would only lodge in places that accepted all his players
