Getty ImagesThe long, winding search for a general manager in St. Louis is finally over.
D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Falcons director of player personnel Les Snead accepted the job as Rams G.M. Florio noted an hour ago that Snead had entered contract talks.
It’s been quite an offseason for former Falcons personnel men. Phil Emery, who moved from Atlanta to Kansas City a few years ago, got the G.M. job in Chicago. Both Emery and Snead were written about in Michael Holley’s book War Room.
Snead was with the Falcons for 13 seasons. Vikings director of player personnel George Paton was reportedly the front-runner for the Rams job, but he took a promotion in Minnesota Saturday.

Hey Snead, go get Fisher’s kid some ice cream. GM without portfolio.
.
He looks like George Mcfly in that photo
Hopefully he will not ask for to much when the SKINS call about that number two pick. HTTR!
David Beckham is the Rams GM?
Snead was one of the first to interview… and that was even before Fisher took the job “officially.” This was an odd process.
Looks like Kurt Russell, can mean only good things for the Rams.
a cross between George McFly and Kurt Russell. “Back to the Future-Escape “to” St. Louis”
Yall are way off. He looks like Carey Elwes. As you wish.
I was thinking he looks like the Australian guy from House.
Better than what they had for damn sure.
Looks like he could easily pull a Nick Nolte type mug shot.
Must have been offered good money. Taking a GM job which is under the Head Coach is a VERY risky maneuver and that Ram job had to be the worst GM opening in years around the league because of that upside-down structure.
St. Louis will be set back five years with the hiring of Fisher.
All u doubters… set back and watch the metamorphosis in STL. Now on to free agents and the ransom in the draft….
Wow, who could have known all the bitter Dolphin fans would comment at the same time.
Great staff, now lets get some players in here..
Holleys book was a great book.
