Titans receiver Kenny Britt had a pair of big games in the first two weeks of the 2011 season, gaining 136 yards against the Jaguars and 135 against the Ravens.
But Britt tore up his knee the following week against the Broncos, and he landed on injured reserve.
New Titans G.M. Ruston Webster said this week that Britt’s recovery from a torn ACL and MCL has gone well, and that he’ll be ready to go in 2012.
“Kenny’s been working hard, and he’s coming fast, probably even a little faster than I thought he would, so I’m real happy about that,” Webster said, via NFL.com. “We expect to have him out there for training camp.
“The good thing about this injury, if there was a good thing, is it happened early. And he’s a very strong young man and bounces back pretty quickly from these things.”
The Titans continued to contend for a playoff berth, even without Britt. If they get him back at 100 percent and if running back Chris Johnson can recover from a holdout-marred season, the Titans have a great chance to return to the playoffs in 2012.
